When Lovers become Strangers – (Chapter: Part 1)
As they reached Blair’s office, the blond jumped out and disappeared into the office building and Jo fell back into her seat realizing her life was too complicated. Blair had reached the top floor of the tower when she realized that she had left her purse and phone in the car with Jo. Even though she knew Jo would never snoop in her purse she knew that if she needed something she would look for it. She would find Dominic’s messages on her phone and Jo would put two and two together. Blair continued to her office and smiled faintly as she saw her lover waiting for her.
Jo was waiting at the traffic lights to turn green when she noticed Blair’s purse and her phone sticking out of the side pocket. She started a mental debate whether or not she should return to give Blair her necessities. The decision was made for her when she heard her phone ring and her boss called her into work, being on the way, Jo decided to drop it off. Blair walked towards her desk when her lover Casey made his way towards Blair and gathered her in his arms for a deep kiss. Casey had been the best man at Jo’s wedding to Rick Bonner. They had kept in touch after they had broken up years ago and had become friendly once Blair realized Casey was working in one of her divisions. Their late night talks, led to dinners, which led to sex, which led to three months later.
Jo had made it to Blair’s office to witness a dark haired man sweep Blair into his arms and kiss her deeply. Jo’s world fell apart, she was stunned. She could not let Blair notice that she saw what she saw; she just wanted to get out of there. Just as she turned her phone rang, which alerted Blair to someone outside her office, as she ran to the door to see who it was, Jo made it to the fire escape and started the long descend to the first floor by the stairs.
Blair was unsure who was at her office but was horrified to find her purse and cell phone awaiting her on her secretary’s desk, it had been Jo. Casey came out to see what had been taking Blair so long, when he encountered the blond looking at her purse. “Blair?” he asked cautiously. “Jo knows.” And with that statement she pushed past Casey and gathered her things to go home and confront Jo. Meanwhile Jo had driven to work in a state of shock not knowing what to think or do. Blair was not the cheating kind, what had she done to drive her to it. As she walked to her office, her partner was going through some files that they had to get through tonight, and he smiled when he saw her. “Hey Jo, why you bring the Mrs.?” Confused Jo turned to see Blair bent over trying to catch her breath as she had obviously rushed from where ever to get to the station just as she did.
