“How did you know?” he gasped teasingly. Bella rolled her eyes.
“Are you gonna talk, or are you gonna fight?”
“Both, of course!” Albany answered with a chuckle.
“Then how about we do some more of the latter?”
“Alright, alright, kids these days, so impatient!” the twenty-four year old clucked.
He and Bella got into their fighting stances once again, waited, and…pounced!
TIME LIMIT
Nothing.
They had searched for hours, patrolling the forests and around town, but so far none of the pack had made any progress. Many people spotted them, and the pack was sure there would be more police patrolling the area, but normally that wouldn't bother the pack. The only problem this time was that there was nothing to show for all their trouble. Not even one little clue as to what was going to happen!
Fall back! Sam shouted in their minds. The wolves slowed and came to a stop in their usual meeting place, each shifting back to their human forms and quickly pulling on the extra jean shorts they always brought with them.
“Did you find anything?” Sam asked, looking at each of his pack members. All shook their heads sullenly, obviously not pleased with their lack of progress. He frowned. “Neither did I. We'll call it a night,” he muttered finally, displeased with the decision he had to make. “Meet back here tomorrow at the same time, we're going to patrol every night until we have some clue or something.”
Even with all the humans that would be out hunting them, the wolves nodded in agreement. They didn't actually have to worry as it was nearly impossible for a human to catch, much less kill, a werewolf, but that didn't mean they shouldn't be careful. However, this was important. Whatever was going to happen, it was gonna be big, and the Quilete pack would be there to make sure everyone stayed safe.
But with nothing to go on, it would be far from easy.
TIME LIMIT
It was decided. Edward couldn't take it anymore. He wanted to know what was up with Bella lately. She had been acting more and more distant each day, as though she was hiding something big from him and was afraid of telling the truth. Edward loved Bella, and he hated to think she was keeping secrets, but he also knew that she would hate to hurt his feelings and would do whatever she could to keep painful news from him. But what could be so painful that she didn't want to tell him?
