this song is not for you lovers – (Chapter: she sure can make em’ cry)

I was lucky to have a guy like you even interested.” I stated stroking his prickly cheek.  Every word I said about him was true.  “A relationship is something I just can’t handle right now.  I’m lost and I would never dream of dragging you along.”  I didn’t have the heart to say that I just couldn’t be in a relationship with HIM.  I think his pride was pretty much shot that day.

“Eight months Spencer. Eight.”  He said blinking away tears.  Imagine Aiden, this strong butch guy, with tears.  Here I am, this little girl, who caused them.

“I know,” I got up to hug him.  “I know.”  We had been together a long time. When it came to you though, I would have given up a lifetime.  I don’t know why it was so hard for me to accept this.  Was I scared? Of what?  I don’t know those answers, I know I want you.

“I’m gonna go,” he said standing up making his way to the door, me not far behind.  “Tell Glen I’ll see him at practice.”  Before I could get a goodbye in, he was out the door, out of the driveway, gone out of my life.  I closed the door, left alone with the silence.  No one’s home, ever anymore.  I leaned against the door to just take a second to breathe.

     ASHLEY’S POV

I was in a daze, caught in slow motion while at the party we planned to go to awhile back.  A nameless “she” held me at my thighs while dancing to a song with a slurred beat.  The moves were rough and uncoordinated.  I closed my eyes, to get away and clear my thoughts, feeling the heat of another body join the unruly dance at my front.  Her breasts were pushed against mine, her hands running every where from my ass to the other girl.  In the middle I couldn’t breathe, the smell, not sweet like with you, but sour and tainted.  After being bounced between the two I finally escaped without either noticing.  “Cat, hook me up…please?”  I begged getting to the bar by tripping over a stool.  “Been doing that a lot lately.”  I answered the questioning look.

“Here sweetie,” Cat said sliding me a bottle of water, “sober up.” She said with a wink before heading off.  *Didn’t want a drink anyways* I thought to myself taking a big gulp, the cold water soothing, everything.  My head was throbbing in pain and the coolness of the bar top reassured me of a better feeling.  “Mmm” I moaned, the vibrations from my voice feeling nice on my throat.
