    South Of Nowhere – 2.26 – Things Meant To Be

     

     

                Two days had passed, it was Friday afternoon, and Spencer had yet to see Ashley.  Yet to hear from Ashley and she was so worried that she was sure she’d just bombed her latest English test.  It was lunchtime, and she felt very lonely sitting under a tree at the far side of the squad.  Tucking her knees up against her chest, wrapping her arms around them, and hugging herself, wondering what she’d done wrong for Ashley to not have contacted her in all this time.

     

                Her father had been very supportive during the past few days, reminding her that Ashley was, more than likely, busy getting caught up with her sister .  Her mother had been in a good mood, and that was pissing Spencer off.  It was as if Paula knew something that the rest of them didn’t.  Glen had been off in his own world, and Clay had left to visit colleges back east for the latter part of the week.  Spencer wasn’t looking forward to his return, not because of Clay, but because Grandma Potter was coming back with him. 

     

                 “You look so lost, that I am gonna send out a search party to find you, girl,” whispered a voice at her ear.  Spencer turned, catching Ashley in a hug, cupping her face and kissing her so hard that Ashley stumbled back, “Wow, I should go to New York more often.”

     

                “New York, you were in New York?  What, shopping?  I’ve been slowly going out of my mind…,” her face fell, and Spencer felt the anger bubbling up.  She didn’t want ot be angry with Ashley, but to find out that she’d been in New York, more than likely playing or shopping.  Before Ashley could say anything, they were interrupted. 

     

                “Well, well, if it isn’t the lost puppy and her handler,” snapped Madison, rubbing her stomach as she walked by them.  Having fun rubbing it in everyone’s face, she was pregnant with a future NBA All Star’s baby. 

     

                “You know,” stood Ashley, “you are really pathetic.  You had to hook Aiden in by getting knocked up.  You know, following in MY footsteps is just so cheesy, next thing you know, you’ll be out and about…,” said Ashley in a sarcastic tone of voice.

YAY!!!! drew is cool…shes no longer on this shit list, as a matter a fact….shes like in my top 3 on the awsome ppl list, lol…i think its really cool that shes “straightening” ash out…hahah no pun intended…lol w/e but as sad as it is to say goodbye to the porche…i think that ill live as long as she doesnt do anything nuts… : ) i have to be optimistic….at least she still has spence although those nights together in the same bed shall be missed…. ; ) j/k but yea this is getting alot more interesting especially with the fact that glen is getting ready to hit rock bottom….but yea i loved this chapter…post again sooN!
