I was worried something might go wrong though. It did make me feel a little bit better though that Madison had reminded Aiden repeatedly which gift to pick, although she never told him why, and had made sure to warn almost all our classmates to not steal his gift unless they wanted the rest of their lives to be a living hell. She also warned them that they could have some ‘accidents’ in their futures. I was still worried though because there were a few hot-headed guys in the room, including a few jocks.
On top of that, I was worried that there would be consequences for such a gift. My teacher was usually fairly lenient but everyone draws the line somewhere. My mom would kill me if I got a detention. I don’t even want to know what she would do if she found out about the card.
”Alright, let’s begin.” I sat up further in my seat, trying to peer over the heads of the students in front of me. “Aiden Dennison, you get to pick first.”
I switched to biting my lip as I held on tightly to the front of my desk, nearly out of my seat. Aiden got up from his seat in the front and walked up to the desk, effectively blocking me from seeing what he was picking. He stood there for several seconds, several seconds longer then he should have had to, before he finally picked up a big present. My eyes bulged out as he gently shook it. He was a dead man.
I released a sigh of relief when he set it back down and picked up a different gift. He stood for a few seconds before he turned around. I slumped back in my seat and relaxed my grip on the desk when I saw that he had picked my gift. I sat back up and tensed up again when I remembered that he now had to open it in front of the entire class.
He glanced up at me and gave me a smile before looking back at the present. I expected him to tear it apart but he actually opened It slowly and was able to keep the wrapping in tact so it was only one piece of trash. She looked it over before he actually read it. I saw him smile widely before he glanced up at me and smirked.
