Ashley slowly helped Spencer towards the parking lot, very aware of how close the two were. The alcohol burned through both their systems right about the time they entered the maze and both girls were absolutely sober when they heard the scream.
But to both blonde and brunette, it had been a wasted evening. They completely lost Carmen, no one seemed to be hurt (which was a good thing, however a wasted trip), and not so much as a kiss on the cheek happened between the two.
As they neared Spencer’s car, both girls silently hoped that at least they’d be sharing a bed.
“What a night.” Spencer said as she expelled a long breath, leaning up against the passenger side door.
“Seriously.” Ashley agreed, crossing her arms leaning next to the blonde. “At least no one was killed.” Spencer silently nodded, pulling up her pant leg as she inspected her ankle.
“Does it still hurt?” Ashley whispered, bending dow
n a little to check out the swelling. Gently, Ashley let one finger trace the inflammation but quickly pulled back at Spencer sharp intake of air. “Sorry.” The brunette apologized, righting herself and turning to look at the pained expression on the blonde’s face. Suddenly the brunette had an overwhelming desire to hold the blonde; take her pain away.
“Ash, I think one of us should try to call Carmen…you know, just to check.” Spencer said, adjusting her weight a little to alleviate the pain shooting through her leg. In reality, Spencer just needed to change the subject. The look in Ashley’s eyes was intense, like she was struggling with something the blonde couldn’t understand.
“Yeah, okay.” Ashley quickly answered as she took out her phone and pushed send after finding Carmen’s number. She waited a few rings and almost gave up before she heard the raven-haired girl’s voice.
“Hey, Ash.” Ashley nodded to Spencer, letting her know the girl was all right as her free hand slowly removed her blonde wig and quickly threw it into the car. The blonde smiled happily at the sight of the curls.
“Uh, hey Carm.” The brunette shrugged her shoulders at the blonde, unsure of what she was supposed to say next to the girl on the phone. Ashley had never called Carmen socially, and only had her number just in case she needed coverage at the diner.

We’ve gone too long without an update and we missed you!!! Just so you know, I took notes as well. Aunt Marie creeps me out. Period. That’s all I have to say about her. Aww, poor Arthur, still so broken up. Apparently, he really doesn’t know his kids very well. How can he not know that it wasn’t his daughter who wrote the note? The killer was right beside him … scary! Stupid kids, they won’t go to the dance because of the murders but they go to dark corn mazes?? That’s like, ok killer, come and get me, kill me now since I don’t have enough sense to stay home or do the buddy system! *coughs Jonica* Kyla asking Ashley hang out felt kinda incestuous, even if they’re not related in your story. The Psycho theme playing in the background was kinda funny. Hahaha And they finally kiss!! But the progress of their relationship will suffer a setback because of the meddling, huh? You didn’t mention whoever the Killer is holding prisoner again… I have a hunch who it is but I can’t be sure. Sooooo, that means you have to post more chapters A.S.A.P. Thanks!

I pretty much agree with everything keepXmeXawake said. aunt marie pisses me off and yes she’s freaking creepy. poor ash hearing all that she said to spence. yay jonica bit the big one! sorry if I seem too happy about that but I don’t like her. sucks that their first kiss was to fool carmen, but at least it happened! finally! interested to see who the other 3 students are that the killer got to. sooo of course it means that you really really have to post again… really really soon!!! please?? ok, thanks. excellent job stix! omg so glad youre back!!! sorry bout your mom, but very glad shes doing well, and very glad you had a great bday and holiday! i wasnt sure i was gonna like a mystery/thriller from you as much as your other stories, but i shoulda known better- its every bit as addictive to read as the others :) big thanks to all who encouraged your return- but even bigger thanks to you for refusing to leave a story unfinished :) -waiting not so patiently for the next installment :)

Hey I am uber glad you are back. This story is awesome. The way you manage for me to hate a fictional character such as Marie is just amazing. Its her fault that both girls are in such pain. They deserve the best and the best is each other. I am ready for more chapters whenever you post. Sorry it took so long to read this one. But it was great. I cant wait for the killer to get what he/she deserves. I would say to bad for Jonica but I never really liked her so oh well. Hmm that probably sound bad….anyway I wonder who else got killed that night. I am glad it was not adian even though he did lie to ash which was a douch move. I hope there is more spence and ash closeness that is always nice. Ok well thanks for the post and stay safe. -Jess
