“Ya know, attendance sucks.” Spencer answered with a light chuckle, making Ashley laugh as well.
“To be fair, there is a serial killer on the loose, I’m sure that has something to do with it.” Spencer smiled to herself, appreciating Ashley’s attempt to cheer her up.
The pair cut down another trail of the maze where it was only darker still. They’d only been in there for a little over five minutes and they’d already run out of things to talk about.
“It’s cold.” Spencer observed, not at all enjoying the uncomfortable silence.
“Hmm.” Ashley answered back. “Oh, do you want your coat for a little?” Before Spencer could answer, the brunette shrugged off the jacket she was given and turned to put it on the girl.
“No, Ash, it’s freezing, you keep it.”
“Spence, don’t be stupid, we’ll share. You have it for a little, I’ll have it for a little, whatever, it’s cold, just take it.” They stood facing each other in a small corner of the maze, completely void of light and with only one trail leading them to the heart of the web. Their eyes locked and their movements halted as Ashley held out the jacket for Spencer, the blonde just watching her.
They both were silently wishing that they weren’t in their disguises. The brunette yearned to see Spencer’s blue eyes and the blonde would do anything to run her hands through Ashley’s curls. “Okay.” Spencer whispered as she accepted the coat.
Ashley rolled her eyes and tugged the jacket away from the blonde’s grasp as she held it out for her.
Spencer smiled as she turned and allowed Ashley to slip the coat on for her and then turned back with a smirk. “Would you zip it for me too?” Ashley’s eyebrow rose as her own smirk played on her lips.
“Of course.” She said in a husky voice as her fingers went down to find the zipper.
“Maybe you should lose those contact lenses too, Spence, you don’t want to irritate your eyes.” Ashley said casually as she zipped the jacket, not making eye contact to make believable her casual comment.
“Ya think?” Spencer questioned. She’d never worn the lenses before and didn’t know how long they should stay in.

Thanks then to best friend Theresa, Roxystyle011 and Mute and everyone else who nagged Stix! Special thanks to the makers of red bull, they gave her wiiiiings!! We’ve gone too long without an update and we missed you!!! Just so you know, I took notes as well. Aunt Marie creeps me out. Period. That’s all I have to say about her. Aww, poor Arthur, still so broken up. Apparently, he really doesn’t know his kids very well. How can he not know that it wasn’t his daughter who wrote the note? The killer was right beside him … scary! Stupid kids, they won’t go to the dance because of the murders but they go to dark corn mazes?? That’s like, ok killer, come and get me, kill me now since I don’t have enough sense to stay home or do the buddy system! *coughs Jonica* Kyla asking Ashley hang out felt kinda incestuous, even if they’re not related in your story. The Psycho theme playing in the background was kinda funny. Hahaha And they finally kiss!! But the progress of their relationship will suffer a setback because of the meddling, huh? You didn’t mention whoever the Killer is holding prisoner again… I have a hunch who it is but I can’t be sure. Sooooo, that means you have to post more chapters A.S.A.P. Thanks!

I pretty much agree with everything keepXmeXawake said. aunt marie pisses me off and yes she’s freaking creepy. poor ash hearing all that she said to spence. yay jonica bit the big one! sorry if I seem too happy about that but I don’t like her. sucks that their first kiss was to fool carmen, but at least it happened! finally! interested to see who the other 3 students are that the killer got to. sooo of course it means that you really really have to post again… really really soon!!! please?? ok, thanks. excellent job stix! omg so glad youre back!!! sorry bout your mom, but very glad shes doing well, and very glad you had a great bday and holiday! i wasnt sure i was gonna like a mystery/thriller from you as much as your other stories, but i shoulda known better- its every bit as addictive to read as the others :) big thanks to all who encouraged your return- but even bigger thanks to you for refusing to leave a story unfinished :) -waiting not so patiently for the next installment :)

Hey I am uber glad you are back. This story is awesome. The way you manage for me to hate a fictional character such as Marie is just amazing. Its her fault that both girls are in such pain. They deserve the best and the best is each other. I am ready for more chapters whenever you post. Sorry it took so long to read this one. But it was great. I cant wait for the killer to get what he/she deserves. I would say to bad for Jonica but I never really liked her so oh well. Hmm that probably sound bad….anyway I wonder who else got killed that night. I am glad it was not adian even though he did lie to ash which was a douch move. I hope there is more spence and ash closeness that is always nice. Ok well thanks for the post and stay safe. -Jess
