The Dark Side – (Chapter: Eliminate)

    “Yes.”

“Why now after all these years?”

“Your great great grandson,” is all I say.

“He is harmless, he doesn’t even believe in vampires.  When I would try to tell him about my time as a vampire slayer, he would laugh at me and walk away.  He said I was a crazy old man with crazy stories.  He is no threat to you.”

I smirked, “I am not the fool you take me for Gunther.  Aiden listened to every story you told him and absorbed every detail of those stories.  He’s as much of a threat to me and my kind now, as you were then.  Now he’s coming here to ask you how to destroy vampires.  Unfortunately for him, you being one hundred years old has not deterred him.  He believes you are still sane and can answer his questions.”

“Aiden will not come here.  He hasn’t visited or talked to me in over two years.  Do what you must to me.  I will not fight you if you promise not to harm my great great grandson.”

“I make no promises old man.”

“Then I must do what I have to do.”   He pulls a crucifix out from under the blanket that was covering his legs, shoving it directly into my face.  I hissed loudly, crouching away from him quickly.

I look into his eyes, my fangs exposed.  “I will leave Aiden alone as long as he doesn’t get in my way.”

"No that’s not good enough.  Promise me you will not harm him.  Give me your word because I know your word is your bond."

"You have my word Gunther Dennison, I  will not harm Aiden," I hissed.

Satisfied with that he nods and tells me he’s ready.

“Throw the crucifix to the other side of the room so that I can approach you,” I hissed again.

He’s sitting in a wheelchair so I position myself behind him.  He’s expecting me to bite his neck and drain the blood out of him but that’s not what will happen.  I know he’s been telling his vampire tales to anyone who will listen.  So I put my hands on his head like I had done Martha and snap his neck.

I roll his body while still in his wheelchair to the emergency exit door. I open it which causes the alarm to sound off and push his body and the wheelchair down the flight of stairs.  “Goodbye Gunther Dennison.  You were my greatest foe.”

As I’m leaving I hear a woman scream for help and to call 911 for the second time today.

    3. well hey it had to be done if ash is to be able to truly turn spence so oh well! and I love the whole ‘I’ in italics when talking about aiden… so who’s she going to get to kill him I wonder? I have some thoughts on it. too bad spence misses martha, does complicate things a tad bit but I’m guessing once she’s fully turned it won’t matter too much. excellent update, pms!
