“I promise…” she said smiling at me
Then before I knew it 2 months later the world we built together fell apart…
“tell me you didn’t…” she said after pounding on my apartment door in tears
“what?”
“tell you didn’t do it Ashley…” she said “how could you not tell me!”
“Becca I was going to…” I started then she interrupted me
“bull shit you were…you were just gonna leave, you were gonna run away from everything here so you could start over…”
“Becca I’m not running away…I did this for us…”
“for us? No maybe if you had told me a month ago when you signed that fucking contract it would be for us! But I have to hear from Aiden that you’re leaving for 3 months than moving to New York?!”
“you told me I would change the world! How can I do that if I stay somewhere where I have nothing going for me!” I yelled back at her
“nothing going for you?! What about ‘us’ Ashley! What the fuck about us!”
“there’s nothing wrong with us! You’re supposed to be fucking happy for me! Why cant you just support me!” I yelled at her
“because you didn’t tell me! Because I had to hear it from the one person I hate! Then I had to believe it! You may be creating a new world for yourself Ashley…I just wish I had a place in it!” she said then she walked away
“Becca don’t walk away from ‘us’!” I yelled down the hallway
“you broke my heart Ashley Davies…” she said turning around then she walked away
“you know that night when we were 18…I said I couldn’t be proud of you, but I look at everything you’ve accomplished and you’re one of the few people that have lived their dream…” she said handing me a coffee
“yeah well…vice versa…” I said smiling at her
“you know there’s a big difference seeing you smile in person than in those magazines…” she said
“ha, yeah well…magazines can only tell so much, as you should know…”
“Ashley…I write for Time…not Cosmo Girl…” she said and I started laughing

You had me scared there for a minute with Becca showing back up in Ashley’s life, and followed by a kiss. Ashley and Spencer are getting married and that is the way things should be! I just hope the paparazzi didn’t get a picture of that kiss. Loved the story. PMS
