That’s What You Get <3
So…when does forever start? Did it start the moment I proposed, or will it be the moment I say ‘I do’. The moment I promise to love her for the rest of our lives. The moment I promise to protect her and battle any fight that comes our way as hard as I can. I just wish there was more than I can say then ‘I love you’.
We all have secrets in our past that make us wish we could say more than those three words. I know I have my secrets that I’ve kept from Spencer. There’s really only been one other time that I’ve been in love like this. Her name was Rebecca, and everything was so perfect and I don’t even know when everything went wrong. Maybe it’s because we were 18 and afraid of what we had, I was offered to tour the country for three months and we figured it could never work between us because we’d be away from each other.
I remember crying for months over wishing she would come back to me, we tried talking, hoping eventually we’d be able to get the ‘friend’ thing under control, but no avail. After that we haven’t talked, and after being able to tour and stay with Spencer I wonder what life would be like if Becca and I stayed together.
I could have sworn I saw her a few times at my shows up and down the California coast. Just peaking out into the crowd and I swear I saw her…those green eyes were the most amazing thing’s I’ve ever seen besides Spencer’s blue.
But it’s foolish to think a couple can get together when they’re 18 and hope they’ll stay together forever.
“hey did you finish your vows?” my sister asked me as I was sitting in the hotel room the night before the wedding
“uh…almost.”
“what’s wrong?” she asked sitting on the edge of the bed
“nothing…I’ve just been going over everything that’s been happened to me the past years…”
“like what?”
“Rebecca…” I whispered
“Ash…you haven’t talked to her in years…”
“I know, but I wonder if she ever walks by a magazine and sees me and smiles…you know?”

You had me scared there for a minute with Becca showing back up in Ashley’s life, and followed by a kiss. Ashley and Spencer are getting married and that is the way things should be! I just hope the paparazzi didn’t get a picture of that kiss. Loved the story. PMS
