    South of Forks – (Chapter: 4: Far-Fetch'd)

When Aiden and I arrived at the beach, a lot of the guys from the reservation were already there. Some were out in the water, some were just lounging on the sunny beach-sand. I just noticed, then, that the guys looked a lot alike. They all had long, dark hair and extremely tan skin.
Before I could protest, Aiden and two other guys hoisted me up and ran towards the crashing waves. I was screaming and hollering my lungs out for them to put me down! They dropped me a centimeter from the raging water.
“Ha, gotcha, Pale-face!” One of the boys said, clearly pleased with himself. “Don’t be mad, thought. Besides, it was all Aide’s idea!”
“Why, you…” Aiden play-tackled the guy into the waves. They came out drenched from head-to-toe.
“Not cool, man!” The boy said to Aiden, trying to shake the water out of his ears.
“Don’t mind Embry. He’s just jealous that I’m stronger than him.”
“Hey, Aiden, Embry, New-girl.” A boy approached us.
“Ash, this is Quil Ateara.” Aiden informed me. “You wanna go take a walk with me?”
I agreed and we were off down the beach.
“What do you know about the Carlins?” He tensed up.
    “I really can’t say anything.”
“You know something but you won’t tell me?”
“Its not that I won’t, Ash. I’m just really not supposed to.”
“Well you gotta tell me, Aiden.”
“Okay, okay, here’s what I know: legeneds of our history and theirs. It’s said that our tribe descends from wolves. We came to this land a long time ago.the protectors were the only ones that could morph into their true-selves (the wolves). But then different creatures came to our land, and were hunting. Their strength matched ours, but they claimed that they were different and wanted no trouble. My great-grandfather, the Chief, made a treaty with them. The treaty stated as long as they stayed off of Quileute land and stuck to animals, we wouldn’t expose them to the pale-faces, and were physically untouchable. They have stuck to the treaty so far. And that’s the story.”
“And the Carlins are the new creatures?”
“If you believe all that junk.”
“You don’t believe in your own legends? Aren’t you supposed to live by them as a religion or something?” I had to laugh; I couldn’t believe he didn’t think the legends were true.
“I don’t know. They just seem so far-fetched, yano?”
    “I guess…”

Meanwhile, on the other side of town

A fisherman was by the lake when he noticed a woman with flowing, brown hair gliding toward him.
“Who are you?” The fisherman asked the mystery woman.
“So mundane: who are you, what do you want, why are you doing this?” Another woman said, incredibly behind the fisherman.
“Nice of you to join us, Sean.” The initial woman, Kelly, said. She was looking beside the fisherman.
A dark-skinned, whitish gray eyed vampire was circling the fisherman. “Now, Kelly, Carmen, didn’t anyone ever teach you not to play with your food?”
“I ate my mother.” Kelly grinned, barring her teeth.
“I killed my mother at birth.” Carmen informed Sean.
“Why do even bother?” Sean shrugged, as they all approached the fisherman.

I know this one was pretty short but I like leaving you guys with cliffhangers…. I’ve tried to leave all the chapters so far cliffhangers, and it won’t stop here…
