Spencer: “I told ya she was cute.” I hear her mumble through the receiver as I continue looking at the picture. I put the phone back to my ear.

Lori: “So, when is this date?” I hear Spencer laugh.

SPENCER’S P.O.V.

It’s been a while since Lori and Michelle went on their date. They’ve been together a lot since then. Today it’s just me Ashley, Lori, and Julia. We’re having a little slumber party in the living room, because it’s enough room for all of our sleeping bags on the floor. We’ve already eaten tons of chips, popcorn, and cookies, and Lori scared the crap out of me with that scary story! But, of course, Ashley made it better. Lori brought over her PS3 so she and Julia are playing a guitar hero Ashley’s polishing my toes.

Ashley: “So Lori, you’ve been spending a lot of time with Michelle lately. You guys actually together yet?”

Julia: “Who’s Michelle?” She asks confused.

Spencer: “She hasn’t told you?” I ask just as confused, and a little surprised.

Julia: “You’ve been dating someone?” She asks Lori.

Lori: “Yeah, we’ve been getting pretty serious. I haven’t asked her to be my girlfriend yet though.”

Ashley: “So you’re gonna ask her then?”

Lori: “I’ve been thinking seriously about it, I want to, I’m just a little nervous.”

Julia: “That’s great, Lor.” She smiles warmly at her friend.

Lori: “Thanks.” She replies smiling back. They continue playing videogames.

Julia: “Do you guys have any ice-cream, or anything?” I look at Ashley and we laugh.

Spencer: “Yeah, I think there’s a new carton in the freezer.”

Julia: “What’s funny?”

Ashley: “Nothing.” She says quickly, finishing up my toes and putting the polish away.

Julia: “Should I not eat the ice-cream?” She asks cautiously. Ashley comes back and sits next to me.

Spencer: “No, it’s fine, go get some.” She glares at me and Ashley then goes to the kitchen.

Lori: “I miss Michelle.” She says moping.

Spencer: “Aww, that’s so cute!”

Lori: “Ashley said I couldn’t bring her, that tonight is ‘b-f-f’ only night.” She says, doing air quotes and glaring at Ash.

Julia: “And it is, that’s why Aiden’s not here.” She says, coming back with a bowl of ice-cream.
