Chapter Twenty-Six

‘Will I marry her?’ Spencer wasn’t sure she had heard Ashley correctly. ‘Is she seriously asking me to be her wife? I mean this is just so sudden.’ Spencer looked down at the brunette sleeping on her chest and ran her fingers through the brunette’s curls.

“Ash…” Spencer whispered down at the brunette.

Silence and light snoring was her only reply.

Spencer lowered her head a little and tried again. “Ash…are you awake baby?”

“Mmm…Spencer what do you have under that robe?” Ashley muttered in her sleep.

Spencer knew that the brunette was out but couldn’t help but wonder if what Ashley had asked her was going to require a real answer when the brunette woke up. She looked over at the clock to see that it was 2:30 in the morning. ‘I should get some sleep…What am I going to say when she wakes up? I know I love Ashley but…Marriage is a huge commitment. Is she ready for this? Am I ready for this?’ Spencer sat for a few more minutes before closing her eyes and pushing her questions out of her mind.

*BEEP BEEP BEEP*

“What the hell?” Ashley cried as she jumped up on the bed. Spencer had to grab the nightstand to keep from falling off. Ashley looked down at the blonde and rubbed her eyes. A huge smile appeared on her face at the sight of the blonde still completely nude. She lowered herself back down to lay her body next to Spencer’s.

“Geez Ashley. You nearly knocked me off the bed again. I think we should really look into getting some form of bumpers to put around your bed.” Spencer said smiling at the brunette.

“Sorry Spence. I just freaked out when I heard those loud beeping noises. I didn’t even know my clock did that.”

“I set it last night to make sure we woke up today. We still have to get to school you know?”

“Aww…we don’t HAVE to go. But I guess we should act like responsible adults…did you have fun last night?” Ashley asked grinning at the blonde. “Because I know I sure did.”

“Last night was amazing. You do have to realize that I don’t normally do all those kinky things in the bedroom. It’s just that when I’m around you all of my inhibitions just go out the window and I feel like I could try anything with you without you minding.” Spencer said trailing her finger along Ashley’s arm.
