Nothing But Trouble – (Chapter: Five- Fly Me To The Moon)
The feeling of Spencer tucked tightly beneath her arm filled Ashley with an almost indescribable warmth. But, their moment of peace couldn’t last, and the sound of police sirens caused both girls bodies to tense. “Spencer, we need to get you out of here.” Ashley spoke, reluctantly rising to her feet and grabbing Spencer’s palm in her own. Spencer didn’t say a word, only using her hand to pull herself up. She couldn’t make eye contact with Ashley, she was too afraid of what she might do if she did.
“Switch shirts with me.” Ashley spoke, earning a shocked stare from Spencer, “Look, you were wearing the shirt you wore when you were in there. They’ll recognize you. And the only way we are getting out of here is in my car, which is parked outside the bank.” Spencer looked slightly impressed before giving a small shrug, pulling her red T-shirt over her head just as Ashley did the same with her white tank top. Both slyly stole a few glances at the others exposed abdomen, both blushing a bit afterwards.
Ashley wisely turned the red shirt inside out before tugging it on. Smoothing out the shirt she looked up to find Spencer mocking her motions, securing the sleeveless top before finally meeting Ashley’s gaze. Luckily they were both the same size, and both felt disturbingly comfortable in each others clothing. After hesitating a moment Ashley finally took Spencer’s hand and pulled her out into the street before letting go and walking with her casually side by side.
The swarm of officers outside the building made Spencer feel nauseous, and seeing her 3 other friends walking in cuffs out of the building pushed her to the verge of fainting. Ashley cast her a look, noting the drain of color from her face. Her hand reached out, enveloping Spencer’s once again and giving it a squeeze, “Your okay.” She whispered, feeling the hand tighten in her own as they arrived at her car. Hitting the unlock button Ashley slipped into the drivers side, Spencer doing the same on the opposite side. The officers seemed preoccupied and were paying them little mind.
Twisting the ignition the BMW roared to life and she pulled out of the spot, gratefully putting distance between them and the scene of the crime. “Why?” She asked eventually, breaking the silence as she didn’t turn her head from the road.
“I needed the money, and I owed this guy a favor.” Spencer replied, knowing it wasn’t a good enough reason.
“You needed money? Jesus Spencer…. You could have been arrested! Robbing a bank is a serious crime, and with your record? This isn’t just fun and games anymore.” Ashley was mad. Mad because if Spencer went to jail then she would never get to see her again.
“I’m sorry… I didn’t think. I never do.” She looked miserable, her forehead pressed against the glass.
“It’s not that Spence…” Ashley’s voice had softened considerably, her dark eyes chancing a glance in her direction. “I just don’t want you to get hurt.”
“It’s a little late for that, don’t you think?” Spencer replied, meeting Ashley’s gaze before looking away.

I totally love this story…my favorite line: she only wished they could remain like this forever. Lost in this place between heaven and earth, where she forgot all her problems and remembered only bliss. – Awesome. PMS
