Not like the rest. – (Chapter: [the new girl])
"Sounds good, sis. But that was the bell and I can’t be late for my next class or I’ll get a detention and I’m not really up for that today. Walk me to class, Aid?" I don’t know why she even asked him to walk her, he always did it anyway. It was pretty cute.
"I’m going to make my way to class too. I’ve got music." I may hate school but music was my class. Music was my life, actually. Guitar, vocals, piano and I was learning the drums. I could start my own one person band! Actually, I’m already in a band. We’re called Davies. Only because we don’t have an official name yet and we play small gigs so we need something to call ourselves by until we settle on something interesting, and catchy.
Of course, when I entered class it was empty. Well, almost. Oddly, there was another girl sitting down in the seat directly in front of mine. New girl, maybe. I sat down anyway and took out my lyrics I had been working on for the class. We had one of our major preformances this week and today was my turn. I was so stoked for it.
As the second bell rang, the class started filling up. Well, I wouldn’t call it filling up. More like, the 15 people in the class entered gradually then realizing the teacher wasn’t there, the majority left once again. That’s when the new girl turned around to me.
"Um, I don’t know what exactly to do in this class? I’m kinda new, and yeah.. what’re we doing?" I hadn’t looked up at her yet. I was still proof reading my lyrics.
"We’re doing preformances all week so I guess all you get to do is sit here and make fun of how horrid half of these people sound and play." She laughed a little and that’s when I looked up. One word, beautiful. She had dirty blonde hair with the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen. Her laugh was so contagious that I had to smile when she did it.
"Well, I guess I’m okay with that," she said after she laughed, "but I’m probably worst then all of them so wouldn’t it be pretty hypocritical?"
