North of Somewhere: All Grown Up – (Chapter: Walking Down the Aisle (Part 2))

“Did you just pull my hair?” Ashley asked, a playful smile gracing her lips.

    “No, I don’t think so.”

“Yeah, you so did. You just pulled my hair.”

    “Oh, sorry…I…”

“No apologies, as soon as we get in out hotel room, you’re welcome to pull my hair all you want.”

“It’s not really my thing,” Spencer said, sliding off of Ashley’s lap and adjusting her dress.

“It’s been two weeks. Things change.”

The flight was uneventful, Spencer drifting in and of a light sleep, dreaming of Ashley. She still couldn’t believe that just hours ago they were saying their vows in front on family and friends and people they had never seen before and now they were flying over the Pacific. In those moments when she was awake she would glance over at Ashley who slept peacefully, her hand still holding Spencer’s, even in her sleep.

“Ash, wake up. We’re landing,” she said, gently shaking the brunette.

“Wh-what? Huh?” Ashley mumbled, jolting awake.

“Shhh…we’re landing. We’re here. Four days of paradise starting right now.”

“Actually, I think it started in the back of the limo.”

Once they had arrived at their hotel, Ashley practically dragged Spencer to the elevator, pressing her against the wall as they traveled to the fourth floor.

“Ashley, don’t tell me you can’t wait thirty seconds longer. Come on…look, we’re already here.”

The bell chimed and the doors opened. Ashley sighed, rolling her heavy luggage to the appropriate door. She waited, visibly impatient as Spencer slipped the card key into the slot.

“Hmm…it’s not working. Let me try again.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Ashley said, grabbing the key from Spencer and opening the door on the very first attempt, “well look at that, it works.”

“I was going to get it. You don’t have to be so impatient.”

“No, if there’s one thing you can never call me again, Spence, it’s impatient. I’ve waited for two weeks, settling for prolonged make-out sessions and an occasional nipple graze—which don’t get me wrong, was great—but I can’t wait anymore. We’re having sex…lots and lots of sex.”

“Don’t you want to check out the pool?” Spencer asked, walking backwards towards the bed.

“No,” Ashley said, following her step by step.
