I never thought I would wake up in bed
Watching the world coming down on my head
I’d sleep like a dog if you would never had said

There’s nothing to fight for, it’s already dead
And this is the world coming down on my head
Her thoughts were soon interrupted by a knock on the door. “Who is it?” She called out to the other person.
“It’s Ben, are you descent?” At least he had the courtesy to ask.
“Yeah, come on in.” She called out. The door opened slowly and there stood Ben. His blue, button-up shirt was on and his collar was up as he adjusted his tie.
“Shouldn’t you be getting ready for school?” he asked softly as he noticed she was still in bed.
“I don’t feel well.” She responded truthfully.
Ben walked over to the bed and placed his hand on the young blonde’s forehead. “You don’t have a fever. What hurts?” He asked. He was a doctor, and it showed.
“My muscles, my head, my stomach, and I really just want to stay in bed.” She said seriously. Ben laughed a little bit at her list.
“Do you just not want to go to school today?” He said as he sat down on the edge of the bed flipping his collar down over his tie.
“It’s not just that.” Spencer said. “With recent events, I just want one day of peace and relaxation.” Ben raised an eyebrow at the comment. He sees patients’ everyday that complains of pains and aches that all point to depression, but nothing as chronic as this.

“Well, I will convince your mother that you are sick, but this is a one time thing alright?” Ben asked and Spencer nodded. “Are you hungry? I can bring you some breakfast in bed if you want.”
Spencer shook her head from left to right. “I’m not really hungry. Besides, I’m a little too fat already too be eating greasy bacon and eggs.” Ben took note of her lack of appetite and how she was criticizing herself.
“Alright, well I better get going. I will try to come home for lunch and check on you but I will call before then. Goodbye honey.” He said as he left the room. Honey, It was supposed to sound horribly wrong to Spencer but it didn’t. She let out an aggravated grunt and flipped over in bed hoping to fall back asleep.
As Ben gathered his things for work, he pulled out his notebook and began jotting things down. Not wanting to leave bed, loss of appetite, self criticism, and physical pain. He finished writing and stuck his notebook into his briefcase before heading downstairs.
As he walked into the kitchen and grabbed a cup of coffee, Paula looked at him carefully. “Where is Spencer? She is going to be late for school if she doesn’t hurry up.” Paula said and decided to quickly cover up her mother superior tone. “And her breakfast is getting cold.”
“Spencer isn’t feeling well. She threw up this morning and has a fever. Not a high fever but a fever nonetheless.” He said quickly as he sipped his coffee.
“Oh, well I can stay home if I need to.”
“You don’t need to. I’m gonna come home for lunch and call every once in a while to check on her. You know, make sure everything’s alright.” He grabbed his jacket and tossed it over his arm before picking up his briefcase and getting prepared to leave. “Are you ridding with me?” He asked.
“Yeah,” Paula said as she gathered her things and followed him out the door.

Paula is such a bitch. Something bad needs to happen to her. Great chapter. I`m glad ben help spencer. You know i love your story its my favor. The next chapter sounds like its going to be a really good one. I cant wait.

Oh well thank god, do you think her daughter getting depression will slap the selfish bitch hard enough to realise she’s a shit mum?!?!?! I bloody well hope so coz this is getting painful! I totally get where Spencer is coming from though not wanting to go with Ash and in time so will Ash, is has to be a hard thing to hear that this great idea that you had has soooo many flaws in it! Please post soon I love this story!
