Ashley kissed Spencer’s palm while Spencer was walking her to class. Spencer giggled. “It’s like the millionth time you’ve kissed my palm today, babe,” Spencer noted amused.

“I just want to make sure your hand will be well again as soon as possible,” responded Ashley simply. “I need you healthy. If something ever bad happened to you, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself.” Spencer saw a concerned look on Ashley’s face and Spencer’s mood changed.

“My hand already feels better from your kisses,” Spencer stated with a smile. “You have nothing to worry about.”

“Really?” asked a curious Ashley. “You’re not just saying that to make me feel better?”

“Yep, you’ve got impressive healing powers, Ash,” Spencer answered simply. “I won’t be saying if it weren’t true.”

“Thanks,” Ashley said as she looped her arm with Spencer’s. “So are we still on for lunch today, Spence?” Spencer leaned in and kissed Ashley lightly on her lips. Ashley tangled her fingers in Spencer’s hair and the kiss became heated. Spencer put her arms loosely around Ashley’s neck. Ashley smiled and pulled Spencer closer to her. Spencer pulled back from the kiss with a smile. “I’ll take that as a yes then.” Spencer let out a light chuckle.

“Yep, definitely,” replied Spencer. “Love you.”

“Love you, too,” Ashley stated. “Bye, love.” Ashley kissed Spencer sweetly on her lips. Spencer walked away and a smile formed on Ashley’s lips. Melody walked towards Ashley and noticed the exchange between Spencer and Ashley.

“So really her, Ashley?” asked Melody with curiosity. “You have to go for my former best friend five minutes after we breakup? Is she really that amazing or something? Why do you have to keep on hurting me, Ash? Do you have any idea how much it hurts to see you two together?”

“Yep, really her,” Ashley answered simply. “For the record, she really is that amazing and it wasn’t five minutes after our breakup. It’s not about hurting you. Here’s the thing. You can’t help who you fall in love with, Melody. If you could, you could just walk right into it and see it happening. You could try to escape it, but in the end it just really consumes you and that’s how it is when I’m with Spencer. I really do wish you find someone who will make you as happy as Spencer makes me.”
