“Can’t I visit my favorite sister?” Kyla asked with curiosity.

“I am your only sister, Kyla Woods,” answered Ashley with a sigh. “You only comes when you want something from me. So what do you want?”

“That you know of,” Kyla added. “Is visiting my sister such a crime?” Ashley gave Kyla a look. “Alright, you caught me. Not really what I want, but need to survive. Look I need a twenty. I’m running low on cash.”

“Figures,” scoffed Ashley. “You only come for money.”

“Hey, I pay for my own tuition,” Kyla responded.

“Your mother does actually,” pointed out Ashley. “It’s not the same damn thing.” Ashley took out the twenty dollar bill and handed it to Kyla. “Take it and go.”

“Can’t we catch up?” Kyla asked. “I want to catch up with my half sister. It’s been forever since we last saw one another. You heard what Spencer said.”

“You need more money for you to ask me that?” said Ashley.

“No,” Kyla replied. “The thing is that we don’t talk anymore.”

“When did we ever talk?” asked Ashley with a frustrated sigh. “You have a final that you need to study for. We’ll e-mail or use the modern invention called the telephone.”

“What the hell did I miss while I was away at university?” Kyla asked with curiosity. “You and Spencer are talking again and if I were her I wouldn’t forgive you so easily then again Spencer has always had a soft spot for you. For the record is it me or has Spencer gotten hotter since last year and I’m getting the impression there’s something between you two.”

“You missed a lot, indeed,” answered Ashley simply. “Yes, it took some time for us to get to where we are now, but it was worth it. I think Spencer’s soft spot for me vanished ever since I hurt her. Yes, she’s gotten hotter, but she’s off limits.”

“You mean back to the friend zone?” Kyla questioned with curiosity. “Off limits, huh? Let me guess, she’s for you and your eyes only?” Ashley’s face turned red. “I guess that answers my question.”

“Yes,” responded Ashley. “Like Spencer would really go for someone like you to begin with.”

“You want Spencer to go for girls who are more like Ashley Davies,” Kyla mused. “Ashley and Spencer sitting in a tree…”
