Ashley holds the door open for her and once Gage is through and continuing down the steps, Ashley turns to me.
Ashley: “I’m going to get the other doors for her I’ll see you in the car, okay?” I smile and kiss her a soft kiss on the lips.
Spencer: “Okay.” She grins and turns to follow Gage down the many flights of stairs and I watch her go. I hear the sound of our dorm open and I turn to see a smiling Kelly and Sara, holding hands and joking. They too had changed out of their dance clothes.
When they both see me they stop walking and Sara smiles.
Sara: “How ya holding up, Spence?” Without hesitation I start to jog the short distance until I’m in a complete run and without thinking I jump into all 5’9 of her perfect frame.
Spencer: “I am so so sorry, Sara. I am so sorry.” She giggles lightly and holds me tighter as I wrap my legs around her waist.
Sara: “Thank you, Spencer. It means a lot to me to hear that from you.” Suddenly we are walking and I hear a light chuckle from Kelly as we descend down the hall we me still wrapped securely around Sara with my head buried in her blonde hair.
Once we get to the stairs, however, I slide off of Sara and take her hand as I we walk down the steps.
Sara: “Have you ever been out of the country, Spencer?”
Spencer: “No, never. I was going to go to Canada once…but then I didn’t.”
Kelly: “That was a fascinating story, Spencer.”
Spencer: “Thanks, Kell, would you like me to tell it to you again?”
Kelly: “Save it for the plane ride, it’s a long flight after all.” We both grin at each other.
Sara: “Well you’ll love Paris. The food, the wine, the people, the atmosphere, oh and we have to go to Panty Hos and Baiser!” She looks truly excited and again I wonder how she’s doing so well, maybe it’s de
nial or some other grieving stage?
Spencer: “What are Panty Hos and Baiser?” I ask tightening my grip on her hand in the revelation that maybe she’s not doing as well as she’s letting on.

Wow! Seems like I wasn’t the only one expecting rude Spashleyness in this chapter! That said, I loved it anyway! With just the briefest introduction I’ve already fallen in love with Sara’s family and really felt their loss. Again you have introduced some potentially awsome original characters. I know I’ve said it before but it really adds depth to any fic and when it’s done well…yes I do mean you!….it sets them apart from the compettition….and I must say I’m looking forward to the burlesque club….always wanted to go but not got round to it yet!! Awaiting your next post…whatever it may be…with bated breath! Oh, and your one shot/short story sounds intriguing…Bring It On!!!
