Loved and Lost – (Chapter: One- Look My Way)

Spencer arrived at the campus, stepping out of the passenger side of her parents car and taking a deep intake of breath. Her heart was already racing, her stomach already twisting because she knew Ashley was going to try and find her today. It had been fairly easy to avoid her over summer, but now, on a closed campus, it was going to prove quite difficult. Shifting her bag onto her shoulder she finally began to stride towards her first class. Her limp was almost invisible from the “incident”, it was really only noticeable when she ran or made a movement sharp enough to cause her pain. But, even those would go away over time, once she got a chance to fully heal.

Ashley had parked herself on a school bench out front, her eyes scanning the parking lot like a hawk. It only took her a moment to spot Spencer’s car pulling in as she watched her then climb out. She looked like she was hesitating to leave as she stood there a moment before gathering herself and heading in her direction. Ashley rose to her feet as Spencer passed by, having to quicken her walk to keep up with her as she walked beside her, eyes staring at the border of her face, “Hey.” She spoke, waiting for a response.

What Ashley received was nothing, not even a frown of recognition from Spencer, nothing. Spencer’s eyes stared dead ahead, her face cold as stone as she turned into her first class, taking a seat in the back. As emotionless as her face may have seemed, it betrayed her gut, which had fluttered at just the sound of her voice again. The slight rasp of it, the sound of hurt and remorse, it had almost been enough to cause her physical pain. Of course, this was nothing compared to the hurt Ashley felt as she waited for some kind of response but received nothing.

“Spencer- look at me.” She spoke, hand resting on her shoulder in an effort to get her attention as she sat beside her in the class, not really caring if it was hers or not. Spencer merely jerked her shoulder away in a quick motion, causing Ashley’s hand to fall. “For god sake will you please just look at me!” She pleaded, the sounds of anger and hurt legible in her tone. “Ms. Davies…” Warned a teacher in the front of the room, although she could hardly hear it. She was too busy staring a hole in the side of Spencer’s face.

    1. Yeah, this story is really good. I was so disappointed that Ashley got back with Aiden, such a bonehead move. I have been thinking about season 3 and I finally considered something that I didn’t before, if Ashley gets back with Aiden this season, I don’t see how Spencer would EVER get back with her, because she would have got back with Aiden, the person she was already worried about, the person she trusted and called a friend. I just don’t see how Spencer would ever get back with her, if there is Ashden this season, I know I wouldn’t, no matter how much I loved the person. But back to this story, Im glad to see Spencer acting so cold, Ashley deserves. I wish that Spencer would have called out certain things about Ashley to Ashley, in public. Ashley deserves to hurt more, before Spencer even gives her a .001% at a chance of forgiveness. Because there is nothing Ashley can say. She didn’t choose Spencer, she choose Aiden, which was a mistake, but its hers, she made it, and now she is gonna gave to attempt to live with it. I loved Spencer’s tirade, and I hope she does something like that in the actual show, because its the truth, she was willing to sacrifice any and everything to be with Ashley, and Ashley was selfish and took it for granted and abused Spencer’s feelings. And she deserves much more pain than these past 3 months where she was fucking Aiden. So, I feel no sympathy for her right now.But good start and I hope you update again soon.
