Loved and Lost – (Chapter: One- Look My Way)
“Spencer please, be reasonable!” Pleaded Ashley as she stared down at a wheelchair bound Spencer.
“Why should I? Look, I am willing to forget this, forget all of this if you just tell me you’ll stop seeing him! Don’t you care that it hurts me?”
Spencer had tears in her eyes as she looked up at Ashley, shifting in her seat slightly. The situation was not permanent, but she had been struck by a bullet that night and it had grazed her spine, injuring the spinal chord and rendering her temporarily paralyzed from the waist down.
“I love you Spencer, but please don’t make me choose, please, I am begging you.” Ashley had knelt down a bit, trying to get to Spencer’s eye level. She couldn’t just drop Aiden, he was like her brother and if being with Spencer meant that she couldn’t be with Aiden, she just couldn’t make that sacrifice.
“Oh, I think you already did.” Her words were laced with hurt and even a tinge of malice as she turned the chair around and rolled away, not bothering to look back at Ashley, who stood frozen in the hall, unaware of what to say or do. “Spencer!” She called after her, her voice cracking before she turned, walking briskly down the hall and away from the girl she still adored.
All of that was 3 months ago, and entire summer ago in fact, and they had still not spoken since. It wasn’t that Ashley hadn’t tried, for the first two weeks she called everyday, often times just cruising by her home in hopes of seeing her. But, as time elapsed the space between her calls expanded until finally there were none at all. She’d even sought the comfort of Aiden’s arms, but while the passion between them was as hot as an open flame, there always seemed to be something holding her back. Soon their fire had died down and she had confessed to him that she “just couldn’t do this”, and once again broke his ever patched up heart.
As school started once again, Ashley found herself in a very awkward situation for several reasons. After she had begun dating Aiden, Kyla had become furious with her. Even so many months later, the two were hardly on speaking terms. Things between her and Aiden were also uncomfortable, as he was usually straining to keep from wanting her and she was constantly distracted by other things. And Spencer, she hadn’t even seen her since they had last argued, which must have taken some careful steps on her part. God, that was the thing she both anticipated and dreaded the most on this day.

I’m hooked! Written with great emotional intensity that captures the readers heart and absolutely refuses to let them go. Please continue…
Yeah, this story is really good. I was so disappointed that Ashley got back with Aiden, such a bonehead move. I have been thinking about season 3 and I finally considered something that I didn’t before, if Ashley gets back with Aiden this season, I don’t see how Spencer would EVER get back with her, because she would have got back with Aiden, the person she was already worried about, the person she trusted and called a friend. I just don’t see how Spencer would ever get back with her, if there is Ashden this season, I know I wouldn’t, no matter how much I loved the person. But back to this story, Im glad to see Spencer acting so cold, Ashley deserves. I wish that Spencer would have called out certain things about Ashley to Ashley, in public. Ashley deserves to hurt more, before Spencer even gives her a .001% at a chance of forgiveness. Because there is nothing Ashley can say. She didn’t choose Spencer, she choose Aiden, which was a mistake, but its hers, she made it, and now she is gonna gave to attempt to live with it. I loved Spencer’s tirade, and I hope she does something like that in the actual show, because its the truth, she was willing to sacrifice any and everything to be with Ashley, and Ashley was selfish and took it for granted and abused Spencer’s feelings. And she deserves much more pain than these past 3 months where she was fucking Aiden. So, I feel no sympathy for her right now.But good start and I hope you update again soon.
