Ashley: “I’ll just be over here.” she walked over to an empty table.

Spencer: “Mom, I’m sorry…about before.”

Paula: “Don’t be, I guess I was moving in on you and Ashley’s space.” she said weakly

Spencer: She sat down next to Paula. “Hmm, maybe a little.” she squinted and held up her index finger and thumb about an inch apart.

Paula: “Spencer, you’re my little girl, and you always will be…but I feel like I don’t even know you anymore. I just wanted to spend a little more time with you…before you pushed me away completely.” Spencer gave her a sympathetic look.

Spencer: “Mom, I’m not pushing you away. I’m growing up…but that doesn’t me we can’t spend time together anymore, you don’t have to make up an excuse to bring the whole family along, if you just want to…hang out with me.” Paula smiled, they hugged. “How about we just spend the rest of the day together, just you and me.”

Paula: “I’d really like that.” she smiled and Spencer gave her a hug.

Spencer: “I’m gonna go tell ash.” Paula nodded. She walked over to Ashley.

Ashley: “So, everything’s ok?”

Spencer: She nodded. “Thanks for the reality check.” they chuckled “I’m gonna spend the rest of the day with my mom, are you ok with that?” she gave Ashley a questioning look

Ashley: “Yea, it’s cool. I understand.” she gave Spencer an apprehending look. Spencer hugged her tightly.

Spencer: “Thanks…your not as mean as you think you are.” she whispered in Ashley’s ear as they hugged. The parted from the hug. “If you were, you wouldn’t have helped me through that little bitch fit back there. Despite what you may think, I think you’re an amazing girl, who‘s nice, and caring.” she flashed Ashley a smile and walked back over to Paula.

Ashley: “It’s only because of you Spence.” she whispered as Spencer walked away. “What am I going to do now?” she thought and pulled out her phone to call Aiden.

Ashley: “Hey, where are you?”

Aiden: “I’m with Glen, Clay, and Mr. C, why?”

Ashley: “Meet me at the food court.”

Aiden: he whispered “Is everything ok between you and Spencer?”

Ashley: “Everything’s fine Aiden.”

Aiden: “Alright, I’ll be there in a few minutes.” about ten minutes later Aiden, Clay, Glen, and Arthur walked up.

Arthur: “Hey Ashley, where’s Spencer?”

Ashley: “She decided to spend the rest of the day with Mrs. C.” Arthur nodded. Ashley spent the rest of the day with the guys. She was bored with out Spencer, but she knew Spencer needed this time to bond with Paula. They drove back to L.A. the next day.
