Fearless (Song Fic)
I searched through the song list until I found the song I wanted, then I set the iPod in its cradle and made sure the volume was turned up. I smiled when the song began to play.
There’s something about the way
The street looks when it’s just rained.
There’s a glow off the pavement
You walk me to the car and you know
I wanna ask you to dance right there
In the middle of the parking lot, yeah
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” I spun around to see Ashley leaning on the doorframe to my bedroom.
“What?” I asked, knowing exactly what she meant.
“Taylor Swift? C’mon. I thought, what with you dating me, a musical prodigy and heir to the music thrown, you’d have a better taste in music than that.” She said pushing herself off of the doorframe and walking the rest of the way into my room.
“She’s a great song writer.” I simply stated as I walked over to her, not bothering to turn off the iPod.
We’re driving down the road
I wonder if you know
I’m trying so hard not to get caught up now
But you’re just so cool
Run your fingers through your hair
Absentmindedly making me want you
She sat down on the bed and scooted herself up until her back was resting against the headboard. Once she was situated, she held her arms out in an open invitation, so I climbed onto the bed and into her arms.
She wrapped her arms around me as I settled in between her legs, half laying on top of her so I was facing her. My right arm wrapped around her waist as my left idly traced random patterns on her stomach under her shirt.
And I don’t know how it get better than this
You take my hand and drag me head first
Fearless
And I don’t why but with you I’d dance
In a storm in my best dress
Fearless
She leaned down and kissed the top of my head, so I tilted my head up the second she pulled away to look at her. She leaned back in a captured my lips with hers. It was innocent and nothing more. We hadn’t been together long, and I loved how I was able to be this comfortable with her right from the start. This girl already had my heart. I looked away when we broke apart and snuggled up closer to her, letting my hand continue to trace random patterns on her stomach.
