Family Secrets (Ch. 1)
I was leaning into my sleeping husband, keeping a watchful eye on my two year old daughter Melena, who was toddling around, staring wistfully at the dangling ornaments on the tree. She’d already gotten her hands popped several times for trying to knock them off. I had met Glen in our senior year of college at UCLA, and instantly fell in love with the goofball trouble maker. He was stubborn and crazy, but he was a good man. We got married after just a year of dating and had Melena a year after that. She was like her father already, with curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Actually she looked like a mini version of Spencer. She got into more trouble than any toddler I’d ever heard of. Glen absolutely loved her; he’d been wrapped around her finger since the moment she took a breath. He worked as an Agent for many athletic hotshots and made a comfortable enough living that I didn’t even need to work. But I loved my job as a columnist for a huge online news site.
“Rachel, how’s your article on the election coming?” Chelsea asked me, distracting me for just enough time for Melena to make a lunge for one of the larger glass ornaments and knock it down, laughing gleefully at the sound of shattering glass. Glen jumped awake at the sound and Paula frowned at me, as if reprimanding me instead of my child. I scooped her up before she could cut her feet and handed her to her confused father.
“I’m so sorry Paula!” I cried, “Watch your daughter,” I hissed to my husband. We’d only been married for three years and I was still in the stage where I was trying to impress Paula. The woman was stubborn and extremely hard to please. “I’ll go find a broom and get that up.” Chelsea followed me into the kitchen while Glen inquired about what happened to a laughing Clay.
“Girl you have got to stop trying so hard.” Chelsea laughed, making Arthur look up from his pots and pans with a smile. It already smelled fantastic in the kitchen.
“Hey! There are my favorite daughters in law!” He said, making us chuckle. I had always liked Arthur; he had kind blue eyes and a nice disposition. He’d been a better father to me than my own. Not to mention his blueberry pie was to die for. “Whatcha looking for Rach?” He asked when I opened the door to the pantry and started to look around for a broom.

Tht was really good . Yu shud pms !!!
I’m very interested in where this could go. an outside perspective is a nice change-up and could lead to a lot of possibilities I’d think. hope you continue because I’d like to know about why spence is upset over being pregnant, and all about the deep dark secret which of course I think has to do with spence and ash dating or something to that effect, but hey you could come completely out of left field and shock the hell outta me! anyway, great job so far, please continue!
Alright, so I’m just gonna throw this out there; maybe the person who is pregnant is actually Ashley and not Spencer? haha I dunno, I just get a weird feeling that things are not what they seem! Great story, Im anxious fo the next update!!
wow nice story and keep it up so far so goodi wonder if its ash…..
Awesome…. I’m actually liking this story a lot so far…. A few notes….An emmy is for TV… Grammy is for musicChelsea had taken the baby so spencer wouldn’t have it stillSome comments…They don’t tell rachel what’s going on bc she’s a reporter and may not be able to resist a storySpences pregnancy wasn’t intentional.Ashley is not happy about the pregnancySpence and ashley had a thing in high schooland that’s all I got….Please PMS
yes! definitely continue please! if something happened between spencer and ashley in high school, they must’ve resolved it somehow for the 3 of them to want to still be so close after aiden and spencer getting married. so that means the marriage couldn’t have been a cover for a relationship between spencer and ashley. unless, spencer and aiden accidentally slept together, and that’s why ashley is no-showing at dinner. but if it was an agreement- aiden wouldn’t have thrown spencer under the bus by announcing it. i don’t think i’m even making sense. i have no idea what’s going on- but that’s why you have to tell me :)
so far so good really enjoyed it cant wait to read more pms
Interesting.
LOVE IT! please dooo keep this going! i love it so far
