Falling down means you have to crawl back up – (Chapter: skipping school and thinking of you)
“What does she ask?”
Kyla had slyly watched the girl’s reaction and felt her heart tighten slightly. “Well, she asks how you are, if you’re eating properly, she said she saw you walking home from the park and thought you looked really skinny, she tells me she misses you.”
“And what do you say?”
“Nothing.” It was the truth she had yet to say more than two words to her half sister the whole of the summer vacation, her compassion for Spencer prevented her from saying anything of comfort to Ashley and therefore thought it best not to say anything.
“I wish I could hate her sometimes or better yet not feel anything towards her.” It was the most she had admitted since their split, Kyla had never wanted to push the subject. Spencer’s eyes began to brim with tears but she held them back not wishing to cry over the girl who broke her heart any more.
“I know she’s sorry about everything that happened.” The brunette told her friend, not completely sure why she was defending her sister when she had stolen her boyfriend.
“Well that doesn’t mean much.” Spencer once again looked out the window thinking back to the night outside her house that as much as she wished she could; Spence could not forget it. It was a memory that was burned into her heart forever. It was the last time she remembered speaking to Ashley and after that exchanged she hoped that it would be their last encounter.

Spencer sat on the bench staring off into space trying to stop herself from crying it felt like that was all she had done for the last few days. Losing clay seemed to have taken a huge portion out of her life, like the sun had been ripped away. Although her pain seemed to be nothing compared to that of her parents. For lack of a better word they looked completely broken and he killed her that she could do nothing for them. It was true that her and Paula had had an up and down relationship, but she loved her, and didn’t like to see her in this much pain. A child is meant to bury their parents not the other way around. Arthur had attempted to hold the family together as best he could but the cracks in him were evident to see. Spencer often crept down stairs to see him sitting at the table drinking with silent tears cascading his cheeks sliding down to his trembling chin.

yeah i agree. kyla was there for spencer through her rough times. and ashley is just like so careless. like how can she just hurt spencer like that?
Spencer often lay awake at night wondering, if she would ever recover from her broken heart, she didn’t know if she could love someone with every piece of her shattered heart. She knew she was only young but some scars lasted a life time, some never disappear no matter much you try to cover them or pretend they aren’t there, they are rooted into the organ that gives you life and there is no escaping that. Oh…I lost it when I read that paragraph…my heart literally broke for Spencer and even now the tears still flow. You are an amazing writer and I can’t wait to read your next post. thank you…
