Everything Changes After Spending 7 Months Apart – (Chapter: You change your mind like a girl changes clothes!)

Does she personally know Katy Perry? Because I swear the song “hot and cold” was written specifically for Ashley Davies.

And this is why you don’t get to take over anymore.

Cut me a little slack, I have the same hangover you do.

Immediately Ashley is talking about when she plans to hook up with Aiden. You know, Aiden, Slum-dog Nothing-air. “I thought you said Halloween.” I mentioned.

She then proceeded to mention moving the date up. Now the date is no longer five weeks away. It is about two or three. I guess I need to get into the let-go-mode pretty damn quick then don’t I? Even with it being sooner, I am okay with that. So long as it isn’t Halloween…

“Well that’s cool” I say. “I have my own reasons for not liking the Halloween idea. But this idea is much better.”

“Wait, why don’t you like the Halloween idea?” She asks. I could lie. It would be so easy to lie right now. Actually, I could let Voice take over and then it would be even easier.

But I can’t lie to her. I promised myself that if she ever came back into my life that I would never lie to her again. Okay, so I could break that promise if she cooked something that tasted like shit. But I couldn’t lie about something big.

“Do you remember the scrapbook I told you about?” I asked her. “Well the one page that survived was the one with the picture of us on it from Halloween. You know, where I couldn’t quit smiling.”

I don’t want to actually say it, so I just hope that she is picking up what I’m putting down. To my amazement, she does. “Oh, yeah…” She draws out with an awkward silence which I can’t quite determine. “I’ll have to come see you on Halloween. Keep in mind; I know what my costume is going to be. So I’ll be wearing close to nothing. And after I get there, I’ll probably be wearing even less.”

“Hell yes!” I shout. Okay, so I let the voice out a little bit on that one.

Then she says the thing that I did not expect her to say. “Maybe I’ll bring Aiden with me.” I fall silent. Once again, I drop my heavy, hung-over head on my pillow.

    1. I truly feel like I understand a bit about everything that’s going on in here, from my own personal experience. the changing definition of what you two are and what goes on between you; stepping aside to let the other make mistakes on their own but being there to help out when it becomes overwhelming; not wanting to lie especially about something so big, and especially because you want to regain the trust that someone once had in you; feeling frustrated that your advice is never really listened to; right down to the sleeping while the sun is out, although I’m trying really hard to kick that habit. I think a lot of it is because I went through something a tiny bit similar with my ex best friend. not nearly as involved as this situation, but I definitely get it. and being that this is all true to life, I’m a bit worried about the “aiden” situation, so I just will say be careful! as always you know I wish you luck with this situation, and I hope the weekend goes well for you!

    2. just saw this was up, as I’m heading to bed, so I wanted to let you know I’ll be reviewing tomorrow! well, later today I guess. just a heads up for ya. ‘night for now.
