I covered my mouth with my free hand, holding out the hand with the diamond in front of me to admire the rings beauty. Tears began to well up in my eyes, and I couldn’t hold it in anymore. I started balling and Spencer became very concerned.

Spencer: Baby what’s wrong?

Ashley: Nothing, nothing at all, it’s just… ah fuck get over here!

I kissed Spencer so passionately that by the time we broke apart we were both panting hard, trying to catch our breath as we held each other.

Ashley/Spencer: I love you.

We both said at the same time, causing us both to chuckle.

Spencer: I never knew you were such a talented artist Ash. Your voice is so perfect. And your song, just beautiful.

Ashley: Thanks Spence. I meant every word.

Spencer: Sing for me again?

I wrapped my arm around her waist, resting my ring clad hand on the small of her back, holding her hand in my other as we slow danced in the empty room. I then begin to sing the words of my song quietly in her ear.

Kristen: OH MY FUCKING GOD!

Kristen yelled into the room, startling Spencer and I, and managing to even scare the six foot security guard in the process.

Kristen: What, when, how!? Weren’t you just mad at her?

Kristen looked so confused that I couldn’t help but laugh at her while Spencer continued to hold me in her arms.

Spencer: Mad at her?

Kristen: You just disappeared?

Spencer: Yeah, I forgot the ring and had to go back to the room. Silly me.

Ashley: You so had this whole day mapped out, didn’t you?

Spencer: Well, I wasn’t sure if I’d actually have to balls to get up on stage and propose to you, but once I heard your song I knew you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. But yeah, to answer your question, I pretty much had the whole thing planned out.

Kristen: Ash let me see the ring!

I gave Kristen my hand and she just about melted.

Kristen: It’s gorgeous Spencer, good job.

Spencer: Thanks Kris.

Anonymous: Excuse me? Miss Davies, may I have a word with you?

I turned from Kristen to look at the tall man, wearing a dark business suit, staring at me with a cocky smile on his face.

Ashley: Um, can I help you?

I asked a little irritated that this guy dare interrupt one of the happiest moments with Spencer.

Anonymous: Actually you can. You’re quite the talented young girl Ashley.

His smile grew even bigger.

Ashley: Ew creep. Whatever it is I’m not interested.

I turn back to my best friend and fiancé.

Anonymous: I’m Ethan Marks-

Ashley: Yeah that’s great, nice to meet you… now get lost.

Ethan: I worked with your dad.

I felt my heart literally stop dead in its tracks. Did he just say my dad?
