The first day of school is finally here. The day I’ve been dreading. I’m going to see her. I’m actually going to see her again and I’m a complete wreck. A complete wreck. I’d totally skip if it wasn’t the first day. I know better than that. I got to at least check into my classes. UGH!!!

Well, here I go. Entering King High to start my senior year. The place I detest going to but for a very short period time became my favorite place. It was because of her. It was because I’d be able to see her, talk to her, hold her hand. But now that’s gone and it’s all my fault.

“Hey Spencer,” Aiden smiles as I sit next down to him at our table in the quad.

“Hey,” I say sullenly as I begin to scan the quad looking for her. Looking for my heart.

“So how have you been? You haven’t been at Grey’s all summer. I was starting to think your parents shipped you off to military academy or something.” Aiden asks

I just shrug my shoulders and say, “I’ve been around. Wasn’t really in the mood for the club scene.”

“Not in the mood for the club scene?,” Aiden asks incredulously

“Nope,” I snap back as I continue to look for her

“Okay, who are you and what have you done with Spencer?” Aiden asks seriously

“Oh shut up, Aiden.” I snap again

That’s when my best friend comes and join us.

“Hey guys,” Chelsea beams

“Hey,” I mutter as I continue to scan

“Glad to see you’re finally decided to join us, Spencer. I was starting to think you were going to stay locked up in your room forever.” Chelsea says

“What’s wrong with her Chelsea?” Aiden asks

I’m about to respond to Aiden when I see her. She’s walking to a table with her sister Kyla. Her hair is down, brown locks cascading down her shoulders, burgundy halter top, dark low rise jeans and simple sneakers. God she looked gorgeous. Breathtaking. I couldn’t help but stare and drool. I think she felt me staring because our eyes locked for a minute and I saw the pain in them. The pain I caused. Fuck. She quickly looks away and begins to talk to her sister.
