Breaking Away From The Habit
Edward placed his perfect yet crooked smile across his face and kissed her forehead. "It's only a few days sweetie. I'll be here when you get back."
"You promise?" Her eyes met his in question.
"Of course." His hand slid down her jaw and neck to rest on her shoulder as they kissed.
"I love you." She tried to smile for him as she wiped away her tears.
"Be careful." He pulled her back for one more hug. His lips brushed against her ear as he whispered. "I love you too."
Regretting letting her go he knew he had to and she was on her way. He stood and watched her for as long as he could see and then turned to leave and endure the 3 lonely days. Hunting with Emmet was a good way to pass the time, only if he could pull him away from Rose, but he didn't really feel up to it at the moment.
Bella got on the plane and thankfully not many people were heading to Florida this time of the year, so she wasn't surrounded. That gave her plenty of time to catch up on the sleep she was missing from this morning.
Her mothers house really was amazing and she hadn't realized how much she missed the sun and the beach until she was actually there. Without having a parent around for those few months away and now with Charlie gone forever it brought back a lot of memories. She tried to push them away to keep from getting depressed since the trip was suppose to be fun.
That night at dinner she couldn't help but smile at sitting at the table with others who actually ate. It was nice to have the change, but at the same time made her miss Edward. She pulled her phone out of her pocket to send him a text. Making sure Phil and her mother didn't notice, not wanting to be rude.
-I Miss you.-
She put her phone on vibrate and went back to eating as she continued to not have much to say.
Edward had been sitting around in their room reading a book and looking through her digital camera. He insisted she take it along and get some pictures for him, but she waited the same in return for him to do. Told him to snap a few pics of himself or the others if he got bored. He could also flip through and look at her if he got lonely. He stretched his arm out to grab his phone from the table beside him as it beeped. A smile crossed his face when he saw it was a text from her.
