Beneath the moonlight shines the truth. – (Chapter: Friends Forever?)
I pulled Spencer close to me. "But why now?" I questioned her confused why her Mom had chucked her out now. "My ass of a brother, Glen told my Mom that I’d gone home with the resident ‘dyke’" She explained. That ass, alright calling me a ‘dyke’! How original. NOT!
"Spencer do you have and Pj’s? You look like you could do with some sleep" I said softly concerned about her. Spencer nodded slowly and slipped off the bed. She grabbed some Pj’s from my case and went into my bathroom. I crawled under my duvet and without realising fell asleep instantly. I felt someone slip into bed next to me and snuggle up to me but I remained asleep. I was so tired I swear I hear: ‘Ashley? Ashley are you awake? You’re so perfect *Sigh*’.
My alarm went off at 7:30 am. I groaned groggily trying to get up. But I couldn’t something was weighing me down. I opened my eyes slowly to find Spencer’s head resting on my stomach. I smiled and softly brushed Spencer’s hair back. I felt her jolt up. "Holly?!?!" She stammered. Holly? Typical she had to have a girlfriend. I sighed " No. It’s Ashley".
"Oh, Ashley sorry I forgot where I was" Spencer apologised blushing. I laughed "Well anyway Miss I don’t skip school. You best get ready, we’ll grab breakfast on the way." I instructed before getting up and grabbing some clothes, I used the bathroom down the hall, so Spencer could use mine.
When we parked in the parking lot outside of school, we were confronted by an angry brother. Glen’s green eyes studied Spencer for a second. It was as if he was searching for a mark. What did he think I was! "Are you satisfied Prep Boy I haven’t laid a finger on your little sister." I growled at him annoyed by his assumptions. His eyes snapped up to bore into my face. I frowned back no where near ready to back down.
Glen took a step forward towards me, I did the same. But before I could do anything else, Glen had grabbed Spencer by the hand and was in the process of dragging her away. "Glen! Get off me" Spencer pleaded with him. "Oi jerk! Let her go!" I yelled at him. He stopped in his tracks and glared at me. "Make me!" He sneered.
So I did. I hit him square in the face with my fist. I watched satisfied that I’d done enough damage, as blood poured out of his nose. Spencer looked at me eyes wide with shock.
"Miss Davies! My office NOW!" Shit!. . . that’s all I need.
