Beneath the moonlight shines the truth. – (Chapter: Friends Forever?)

‘I Can’t Believe The News Today,

Oh I Can’t Close My Eyes And Make It Go Away,

How Long, How Long Must We Sing This Song,

    How Long, How Long…’

I flipped my phone open "What the fuck are you calling me this early for?!?!" I yelled down the phone. There was a momentarily pause of silence on the other end of the phone. Then I heard Spencer’s voice and I shot up.

"Sorry – I’ll call you back later" She said through sobs. I felt soo bad for snapping at her. "No! Wait Spence, I’m sorry I didn’t realise it was you. What’s up Spencer? Have you been crying?" I asked frantically down my cell. I heard Spencer break down. I could feel every tear of hers’, rolling down her face. It broke my heart to not be able to hold her in my arms. "Spencer? Where are you? I’m coming to get you!" I said firmly so she knew I meant it.

"I’m-on-the-the beach" She sobbed. I threw on a pair of jeans over my boy shorts and ran to my car. I yanked at my car door, but it wouldn’t open. "Shit!" I cried out loud. "Look sorry Spence, I’ll be there in five minutes. Please don’t go anywhere" I pleaded down the phone; before running inside and grabbing my car keys off the kitchen side. I threw myself into my car and sped off. I must have broke every speed limit getting there, because I managed to get there in three minutes.

I threw my shoes off into the back of my car before running onto the beach to find Spencer. I found her sat under the pier. She was curled up into a ball and rocking, back and forth, back and forth. "Spencer?" I said before crouching next to her and unfolding her arms so I could see her face. Her features were contorted and her make up stained her beautiful cheeks. Yet to me she was still the most beautiful person on earth.

I scooped her chin up so she was looking at me. As our gazes met her intense aqumarine pools overwhelmed and I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her into my chest. She began crying again and I felt her tears stream down my front.
