Grabbing his hand Madison flew up the stairs. Within seconds everyone could hear her door slam closed.
Chelsea waved goodbye and headed back to Clay after giving Spencer a smile.
Spencer: So, do you want a drink or something?
Ashley: Actually, I would love a cup of coffee if that’s ok?
Spencer looked around the kitchen at all of the alcohol.
Spencer: I’m sure we can find some.
She began rifling through the cabinets but came up empty.
Spencer We could go get some if you want.
Ashley: No that’s ok. I wouldn’t want you to leave your own party.
Spencer: I could use some fresh air anyway.
Ashley: Let’s go then.
The two snuck out with anyone realizing it.. Quickly they jumped into Ashley’s car and she lowered the top.
As they hit the road Spencer began playing with radio stations. When she found nothing suitable she gave up. They would be forced to talk. Ashley reached into the glove compartment of her car and pulled out her pack of cigarettes. Without hesitation Spencer leaned forward and lit it with a light she found in the cup holder.
Ashley smirked.
Ashley: Did you know that when you light someone’s cigarette they find you 75% more attractive?
Spencer laughed as she thought of Lyla passed out in her bed.
Spencer: Yeah, I think I’ve heard that before.
Ashley: What kind of coffee do you like?
Spencer: Um, iced preferably.
Ashley laughed,
Ashley: No I mean what brand. Starbucks? Dunkin Donuts? 7-11?
Spencer: Surprise me.
Spencer closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling of the cool air running over her body. She was so tempted to hold Ashley’s hand that she sat on her own hands. After each getting coffee Ashley headed back to Spencer’s.
Ashley: How is school going?
Spencer was surprised to hear the question.
Spencer: Um, it’s good. I have a lot of work to do.
Ashley: I never made it through college. I tried but it just wasn’t for me.
Spencer: It’s not really for me either but my parents would kill me if I dropped out.
Ashley: I guess that’s one problem with having parents.
Spencer immediately regretted her words.
Spencer: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…
Ashley: It’s cool Spence. Really.
Spencer: I never got the chance to tell you but the other night at Insomnia, you were amazing!
For the first time since meeting, Ashley blushed.
Ashley: Really?
Spencer: Definitely. You should perform more. It suits you.
Ashley: I played “Gorgeous”.
Spencer smiled.
Spencer: I noticed.
After pulling back into the drive way the girls got out of the car and starred at the front door.
Spencer: I don’t really want to go back in there.
Ashley: Then let’s not.
Ashley took Spencer’s hand and led her around the back of the house. They climbed the deck in Spencer’s back yard and took a seat on the swing.
Ashley turned to Spencer and the blonde couldn’t help but notice the moon in her eyes.
Ashley: Can I lie in your lap?
Spencer smiled. There was no way she could resist her.
Spencer: I don’t know. Do friends do that?
Ashley: Maybe we could just define our own version of “friendship”.
Spencer: and our definition can include laying in the others lap.
Ashley: Cuddling on cold nights.
Spencer: Umm, holding hands?
Ashley: Definitely! Oh! And I love to have my back tickled. Can we put that in there?
Spencer: Sure. Why not?
Ashley kicked her legs over the side of the swing and put her head down on Spencer. The blonde had to turn her head to hide her smile. This would be an adventure. Sweetly, she stroked Ashley’s hair and watched as the brunette’s eyelids closed.

Poor poor Aiden, I hope the guy knows what he’s gotten himself into. This version of friendship is awesome! It won’t last long but it’s still awesome! haha Forgive me, I haven’t commented in a while but I still enjoy the Fanfic..It’s def one of my favorites, keep it up =P

Hopefully your significant other doesn’t get mad at all of us?? =) Anyways back to the story..that actually was a cute chapter. I thought Spence said she was gonna break it off with Danny? lol yeah fool my gf got all into it after like the second episode of season 1 lmao..she jacked my ipod and took it home with her.so on to the story.it was really cute…lol ecspecially the part where there talkin bout cuddling and holding hands lol..yupp yupp…
I love their version of friendship. I don’t think it will last long but it will be cute while it lasts. I hope Spencer gets rid of Danny soon and gets her life in order so she can be with Ashley. Once again love your story and look forward to every update.

oh i’m so glad things are looking up. kind of sucks that they took a step backwards in the relationship part, but i guess its good that they took a step forward from the ignoring each other part haha. ooh ok, i promise i wont say anything more about the l word story except for its amazing. my first l word fanfiction..and..well honestly, the only one i read. haha. but of course i will not stray away from this one, its just way too good. trust me, i’m a die hard fan. :]

god damn it…i was totally going to be first comment. buuttt my dad made me leave to go get food with him and i had to walk away. it was VERY hard. i cried a little…okay thats a lie. but still. i thought about crying. and now i’m like 500th comment. gayyyyyyyyy. on a different note…i LOVED it. but now i have to wait patiently for another spashley moment. *sits in chair and waits patiently*

I LOVVVVVVVED this chapter! I didn’t get to comment on the last few chapters because every time i check there’s a new update but that doesnt bother me because i need a multiple daily fix. lol Spencer is such a great friend i want a friend like spencer lol.
