The next morning, Dana was surprised to see she had slept through a whole 12 hours with no disturbance. It was around 6.30, which meant it was too early to call Alice. Bette and Tina were on their honeymoon so she couldn’t call them, so she called Shane.

Shane: Morning.

Dana: Hey Shane, are you busy?

Shane: Well… Kind of, but I’m almost done. What’s up?

Dana: Oh. Do you want me to call back later?

There was silence on the other end of the phone, confirming to Dana that Shane wasn’t alone.

Shame: I’m sorry, what did you say?

Dana: Do you want me to call back later?

Shane: No, Dana its cool. I got her number so I’ll just see her later. What’s up, Dana?

Dana: Shane, Lara and I broke up.

Shane: Whoa. Are you okay?

Dana: Yeah. It needed to happen.

Shane: Does anyone else know or do you want me to keep it to myself?

Dana: Well Alice knows, but she promised not to tell. And I want to wait until Bette and Tina get home to tell them, so for now just keep it to yourself, please.

Shane: Not a problem, Dana. So, are you going to start dating now?

Dana: You sound exactly like Alice.

Shane: Well, it’s got to be asked.

Dana: As I said to Alice, I want to be single right now. I might try to meet new people soon but not yet.

Shane: Okay Dane. Just be careful when you do, you know, with you being a celebrity and all that. People will try to take advantage.

Dane: Okay thanks Shane. Hey, do you think maybe you can meet me at The Planet in a few hours, say 10am?

Shane: Yeah that shouldn’t be a problem, do you want me to call Alice and ask her to come too?

Dana: No its okay, I’ll do it. I haven’t had chance to wake her up early yet, so I want to do it.

Shane: Oh trust me, it’s funny. I’ll see you later, Dana.

Dana: Bye Shane.

Dana decided not to call Alice until around 7.30, meaning she had 45 minutes to pass. She got out of bed, put on her slippers to protect her feet from the ice cold floor on the landing, and strolled to the kitchen to make herself an omelette. While she ate, she thought about maybe going out tonight if the others were up to it. It was a Wednesday, meaning clubs were open tonight. She finished her breakfast and made her way to the shower. She undressed from her pyjamas and stepped in, turned on the water at a hot temperature, and let the water run over her body. Before she knew it, 15 minutes had passed. It was now 7.15. She washed her hair and lathered her body. By the time 7.30 came around, she was out of the shower, dressed in a tight white tank top and a tight pair of black leggings. She decided she would call Alice now. She picked up her phone and dialled her number.
