    A Single Mom Meets Someone New Ch 108

    Gillian walked into the lobby of Tina’s office a week later. 

    “Can I help you?” The receptionist said.

    “I’d like to see Tina Kennard please.” Gillian walked over to the reception desk.  

    “Do you have an appointment?” She asked. 

    “No, If she’s busy I can just catch her later.” Gillian said. 

    “I’m sorry but can’t see her with an appointment.” She said. 

    “Okay, Thanks.” Gillian backed away and headed for the door. Tina was walking down the hall towards the lobby with some other executives.

    “Gillian?” She called. Gillian turned. Tina quickly moved towards her. “What are you doing here?” 

    “Do you have a minute?” Gillian asked still standing in the doorway. 

    “Of course.” Tina said. Gillian followed Tina back to her office. Tina closed the door behind her. 

    “I’m still not okay with everything, but I’m getting there. I had this image of my life here and it isn’t matching up with reality. I don’t understand you and how you can’t commit, but its not my place to understand that. I’m just trying to accept that, that’s just the way you are. It goes against everything you taught me when I was little. Loyalty is very important to me. It goes to the core of who I am. An open relationship to me is disloyal. I know you and Bette might not see it that way but I do.” Gillian said. 

    “Gill…” Tina said and moved closer to her daughter. 

    “I guess what I’m trying to say here is that even though we have many differences I still want you to be apart of my life, but it won’t ever be like it was before I moved because we are at the core two different people than we were back then.” Gillian said and waited for Tina to speak. 

    “I know this is hard for you. That’s why we hid it from you, when we shouldn’t have. I was so happy to have you back in my life I didn’t want do anything to jeopardize that in any way. I’m sorry.” Tina said. 

    “I’m sorry I have been acting like such a brat. It’s not who I really am. I hope that you will get to know me and not that fucked up version.” Gillian said.

    1. Great chapter. I can’t believe this Tina, I thought when she and Bette found each other, that Bette would be all she needed, guess she is one of those when the newness wears off she wants someone else. And she has moved geri into their home, what the hell. Can she just let the woman live in her own place and keep her out of their home. From what geri just said sounds like she does not want to be bothered with children at all, not to mention the ex-wife. Tina better get her act together or maybe geri will do it for her by not wanting to have the children over for an entire week. Hopefully Tina will understand this and get her butt back to Bette and her family. Really disappointed in this Tina. Thanks for posting.

    2. Okay, still can’t see a resolution to this story..or see one I will like!! I know you are a Tibette fan..but this is killing me!!! Your writing is so good I can visualize Tina and Gillian, then Tina goes home to Geri and my stomach just turns flips…not liking it..and I find myself hoping that Geri is just not interested in dealing with anyone’s kids…just the mama!! So, maybe Gillian coming to dinner will be a good thing?? Hmmmmm!

    4. Don’t take things personal with negative comments about this Tina. When faced with such a change in a character that we are all accustomed to… It’s hard to wrap your head around it. May be it will be better for both Bette and this Tina not to be together. Life does go that way sometimes. It’s better if they live with their truth (their time together has maybe come and gone.) Than to live with our illusion that they should be together, no matter what. It seems from this chapter that Tina is over Bette and has moved on with Geri. No use beating a dead horse. Thanks for posting.

    6. Great chapter! Love the way you write! But have to agree with all comments before. Don’t like this Tina and it’s not believable to me, no matter how good you write it. If there was Belena in the mix, I’d be satisfied with no tibette, but this Tina sounds like she’s waaaay over Bette, not trying to salvage marriage. LOts of Qs only you can answer, so post soon!
