My Immortal – 5
.Ok, I know what you’re thinking; WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN? Well, I have a mildly good excuse… GRADUATION! :D Yes, ladies (&Gents) I just graduated from high school. Yay me! Haha. But I am back and contrary to popular belief I am still working on this story…slowly. Haha. I am also getting acquainted with the working field; FML. Haha. But, I am really thankful for all the feedback and I hope you guys continue to like this story…

Chapter Five:
I have never felt like that before. It felt like for only a moment my legs, arms, head- everything was detached from my body and we were moving at warp speed. Suddenly, my feet were back on solid ground looking out onto a dance floor full of people dancing, laughing, loving, and just having fun. Tina grabs my hand and looks at me. “Once we finish with my mother- we can have fun too.”
I nod my head. It was like she was reading my mind. She had this eerie ability for almost knowing exactly what I was thinking. Could she read minds too? “Tina? Are you a seer as well as a pusher?” I ask.
She laughs heartily. “As if I were that lucky. No, you’ll find all the answers to your questions soon though.” She tugs on my hand.
She leads me into a room in the back. There are factions of women sitting in a room lighted my candles. It’s beautiful. There are rose pedals on the floor and the smell of lavender fills the air. Tina hands me a cup of a yellow liquid. I take it out of her hand and smile graciously. “It’s chamomile. You look like you could use it.”
I nod and laugh a hearty laugh. “What no vodka?”
“Ha! No, mother doesn’t like it when I drink- therefore I don’t do it around her. But no matter how much I tell her why I drink she just shrugs her shoulders and calls me a coward.”
“And why do you drink?”
“Bette, why do you drink?”
Suddenly, it hits me. She drinks for the same reasons- it numbs and dulls the intensity of our powers. I use it to make the vivid yellows and pinks dull, pale colors. She must use it to dull the power of her gift. “Aaah, never mind.”
