Gonna get to livin’ – Chapter 14
Dana tried to open her eyes but boy was it hard. Ouch, her head thumped when she moved it. Then she remembered that she had drunk so much last night, which was really not like her. Luckily by her bed, there was the remains of a bottle of water, at least she had drunk some before falling asleep. She stumbled out of the bed and into the bathroom and started to run the warm water. She stood there with her arms against the cold white ceramic tiles and let the water flow over her. Oh no, she had danced with that stranger, but Alice had rejected her offer to dance. Right, get it together Fairbanks, you have a long day in front of you, you really need to buck up your ideas and get going, she thought to herself. What time had Alice said she would pick her up? She thought it was 08:30, which gave her 25 minutes to get ready.
Tentatively stepping out of the shower she felt a bit better than when she had got in. She dried off and put on her jeans and fresh t-shirt. After doing her teeth and liberally using mouthwash she closed her suite door and went down to get some fruit for later, when just maybe she might be able to face food. As she got to the bottom of the stairs she turned to go into the restaurant, following the smell of a cooked breakfast, oh her stomach turned. At that point a fresh faced woman approached her, said hi and asked her how her night was. Dana looked up to look the woman from the night before right in the eyes. Dana looked perplexed. She said how Dana had told her where she was staying and that she was there to see if she wanted to get breakfast together and if she wanted to meet up that night. Dana then vaguely remembered the bartender saying that this woman was a bit of a freak. She said that she didn’t have time as she was being picked up to go to the studios and was unsure of what she was doing that night. The woman wrote her number down again for Dana and said for her to ring or she may pop by later. Dana said there was no need but the woman was adamant that she would see her later. Dana felt too rough to argue and said fine just to get rid of her. The woman smiled and looked at Dana expectantly, Dana simply said bye.

Dana is not so shy in this one, what will Al do??
How cute are they, Maybe just maybe They will let the other one know. thanks
Another post? Wow! Now that Dana had confessed to Shane that she’s interested in Alice, I hope that Al will open up to her soon. And pls no Julie….thanks!
You are posting faster than I can comment! Not that it is a bad thing, mind you. ;-D Both posts were great. I think the pace of the relationship in the story is excellent. I don’t mind the stalker or Julie too much since I am pretty sure Danish will triumph in the end. I like a little drama. I am glad that Alice is not holding the dancing or the girl showing up against Dana. She seems willing to try to move things along. Maybe Dana will not have to wait too long. Thank so much, chillipepper!!
