Laid Up: Another Season 3–Chapter 25A
Previously, in the last chapter–
Dylan fled, leaving Helena a cryptic message and a broken heart.
Dana decided to finally go on her Komen Fundraiser auction date with Stephan. Alice doesn’t like it much and wants to go
At the retreat, Bette dreamed about her parents and had a hard time meditating especially since she’d learned that Tina knew she had Josh Brecker fired.
Tina left an anger spewing message for Bette about going behind her back, but then she sent her a very erotic message that ended with her professing her love.
Shay called Shane to tell her he was on a train to LA after running away from his family in Oregon
Marcus met with a Personal Financial Planner to set up accounts for Angelica and he ran into Tina at dinner and told her that he wants to be in Angelica’s life.
Joyce Wischnia left some totally excellent news for Bette
Stephanie slammed Tina once again while an older couple pissed Tina off about assuming Angelica isn’t biologically her child
Helena discovered that Dylan is in a real predicament and that things were worse than she could have imagined
Stephanie and Tina made an agreement to scratch each other’s backs, figuratively.
4:00pm
Dr. McPherson along with Boden, Helena’s driver/go-to man, and Nu-Nu had set up one of the many spare bedrooms for Tina. There was an array of machinery–a machine that could monitor her cardiac rhythms, one for brain waves, a blood pressure unit with cuff, etc. Henry had taken his time and demonstrated the use of each piece of equipment several times. Before leaving, he had given Nu-Nu and Tina typed pages of instruction that put into plain, layperson’s words Tina’s daily routine and the times things had to be monitored, tested, and recorded. He also discussed worst-case scenarios should Tina’s health suddenly take a turn for the worse. Henry explained. Tina’s medication dosage and left a weekly pill container divided by days of the week with her. He promised to check in later that evening and throughout the next few days. His worry over the former orderly and now stalker still pulled at him. Tina felt safe and she had assured a very nervous Henry that there was no need to be concerned about her well-being as it related to Josh Brecker.

I don’t think I can wait til Monday…….pls pls tell me tina will be ok…What is it w/you writers and your cliff hangers….omg, there goes my weekend…..
Oh, the wait for each chapter is torture, but such bliss when a new chapter arrives. Love this so much that I am very impatient for the next installment. Thanks so much.
Yes, you posted! Love you so much. Shane and Carmen are so caliente together, love their energy as a couple. I hope that Shay will not put a damper on their sex life because the way you write it is mindblowing. HOT, HOT. HOT.Looking forward to Moday!
First-rate prose, rich characters, compelling storylines, and awesome cliffhangers. What more could a reader want? Thanks for posting! Counting the hours till Monday . . .
Fabulous as ever, Portia. Marcus needs to back off. Bette is so not going to like this when she comes back home. And she needs to pick up her voicemail, soon. Carmen… I dunno. A little support for Shane would be good, but she has a point. She’s laid it all out there, at least, so Shane can’t say she din’t see it coming if Carmen is less than enthusiastic when Shay gets to LA. I’m so stoked you posted, can’t wait for Monday. Thanks!
“Safer? Tina, tell me what’s goin’ on?”… Yes, we all want hear it, and to get the scoop on part 25B! ;-) Thank you again, Portia – amazing.
“”Mister Allenwood’s termination of parental rights is in order” …I don’t believe I’ve read sweeter words today! You capture the original voices of all the characters so faithfully and expand upon them, making them so much more lush and full-bodied. I would imagine that it would please the actresses greatly to read what you have done with the paltry characterizations that they have labored so mightily to give life to. You are their ally, you give the characters soul. I hope they can know that somewhere, justice is being done to the original concept. Really, I can’t thank you enough for this fully-realized work. It’s a shame you aren’t the one doing the scripts for the series. But, it would be so out of the spirit of what you do to be negative, I rejoice in your wonderful work!
This is such a great story. I go through long periods where I keep a book mark on the current page. I’ve been running through them lately and Iam psyched I have another chapter to go, and from your author notes, a long one…my favorite! Anyway, thank you so much for your time and devotion to the story. I, by the way, love the t/b storyline and as far as I am concerned, you can’t have too much of them.
nice job loved the danish conversation!!!! more danish:)
Brillant…can’t wait til Monday :)
Hey Portia, Am grinning from ear to ear at your mention. Sweet! Now I really need go read your wonderful words. I adore the fact that this is only 1/4 of what you have written and is still 23 pages long. Heaven on earth as i sit down to read your magnificent melodrama. Be back later with my thoughts. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
Thanks so much for this story. I found it late and kept reading and reading to catch up. I’ll be sorry to see it end but can see how much work has gone into it. So many story lines and characters to follow. Thanks again! Lin
