Chapter 8

After Will had left the café, Dana sat there for a little while lost in her own thoughts, thinking over what Will had said to her.  Will really had been a great friend to Alice over the last five years, she could see how well they got on with eachother, how much trust they had.  In some ways she was jealous because that was once her and Alice. Will was now her best friend and by all accounts her saving grace.  The brunette sat there berating herself over her actions all those years ago, just as she had so many times before, whilst vowing to make things right once again with Alice.

Carmen walked into the Planet and saw Dana sat in the courtyard mumbling away to herself, she knew something was up Dana had that, lost child look on her face, the one that the group of women were so used to at the mere mention of Alices name. Carmen grabbed a couple of coffees and made her way over to Dana.

Carmen – hi Dana, you really have to stop that talking to yourself hun, people will begin to think you are as mad as jenny.

Dana – Oh god, that bad huh

Carmen – oh yes you have no idea – a smile creeping across her face.

Dana – how is jenny I haven’t seen her in such a long time now.

Carmen – she’s still with her family, trying to get her head together. And to be honest I think it may take some time, but she working on it so that’s good.

Dana – I hope she’s ok though, we shouldn’t just let her our friends drift away from us, I should call her.

Carmen – I know what you mean, Shane calls her at least once a week to let her know we are still here for her. I think Shane still feels guilty about Alice you know, not making more of an effort with her before she left.

Dana – god I know how she feels, I hate the thought that Alice went through all that shit with no one there.

Carmen – she did have someone there Dane, she had Will and Jake.  Will seems like a good guy, I believe he really does care for Al, and Jake what a cutie.
