Chapter 23 – Going with the flow of things
Tina returned to work a week and a half later, but insisted on only working part time or else she would not have returned at all.
They had sat down and decided exactly how things would work once Bette started up her contract jobs again. If Bette were out of LA Tina would arrange for Kit to look after Angelica in the mornings and then later Tina would pick her up from the Planet around lunchtime. Or else if Bette was working from home, Angelica stayed at home with her as well.
Both Bette and Tina were also communicating so much better. Bette had begun making an extra special effort to be attentive to Tina, and had found herself basking in Tina’s reciprocating affection.
Strangely, Bette had found it easy to be attentive to this new Tina, the mother of her child, and relished the fact that Tina now seemed to only have eyes for Bette. This was to be conclusively proved one Saturday afternoon when they had both been relaxing at the Planet after a particularly nasty week of work.
Angelica was asleep in Kit’s office and Kit was busy making small talk with the few customers that were turning up for a late afternoon snack.
Tina sat on Bette’s lap nuzzling in her ear and making sexually suggestive comments slowly driving Bette to a frenzy.
However, every so often Tina would stop, get up and go into Kit’s office to peek at Angelica. By the third time that she did this Bette lightly gripped her hand and spoke to her softly.
“Baby, Kit’s heading back into her office, she’ll look out for hershe’s fine really, you’ve got to try to move past this fear”
Tina sighed sadly. “I knowI just can’t shake the worry you know?” she said allowing Bette to pull her back.
“Well come sit back down and let me see if I can distract you a bit” Bette raised an eyebrow with her suggestion.
Tina smiled slowly and spoke again. “You do more than distract me Bette.” She lowered her body gently back onto Bette’s lap and leaned in for a deep kiss.
Suddenly their private teasing of each other was rudely interrupted by a familiar voice, a male voice.

I like to see Henry doing like this ’cause it means that Helena might be kicked out too…It is great to see the love but also the passion that seemed to lack between Bette and Tina. Where is it going ? Post soon !

Yes, of course I’m still reading and yes, I know not to trust you. You must have something up your sleeve or have you turned into a mush queen before our eyes? Whatever the reason, I’m enjoying your Bette and Tina growing closer and taking care of one another. After all isn’t that what love is all about? Hmmm, well some NC17 would be in order right about now. Come on Crush, its hard but I know you’re up to it!

When he followed that hand he saw that it was the stunningly beautiful woman that he had met at the hospital, Bette…..Then he saw how cosy they were together, oblivious to the world around them, and for an instant he was about to turn away, but then his ego got to him and he marched right over.
Why does that damned pride always have to get in the way? If Henry had just walked out when he saw how cosy they were together, oblivious to the world around them,then his ego wouldnt have had time to get to him. He bought this last one on himself.
Now that he knows his new favourite café actually belonged to Bette’s sister may keep him from coming back there ever again…..so much for “great coffee!”
Sometimes men can be so full of themselves! Well, I’m glad that Tina made her intentions loud and clear. Love when B/T are loving and affectionate. Great story.
FINALLY!!!!!! YES!!!!!! HENRY IS DISMISSED!!!!! he should’ve just kept it movin and walked right out. but see that’s a man for ya. lead completely by his ego and nothin else *cough*. excellent post as always. this story is so damn captivating. excellent.
