“Hi,” I said shyly.
She just stared at me.
“Mind if I sit down?” I asked pointing to the chair nearly on the opposite side of the room.
“Go ahead.”
I cleared off the clothes and plopped down. I glanced at the walls, looking at the different pictures and posters. Each flowing into the other. One picture in particular caught my eye. A black and white of the girls surrounding Evan a hospital bed.
“My first camping trip. Mom had convinced my mother to take me camping on summer. Of course she was against it,” she smiled, ” but after getting everyone to come along, she finally relented and gave in. I forget where we went. You have to ask them that.”
Her eyes wandered around the room remembering.
“It was just after breakfast. They were busy fighting with each other to noticed me walking away. I had begged all of them to take me exploring but they brushed me off. So I went by myself. Just walked away… without any water. I got lost,” she sighed, “like always and slipped on a rock and fell a few feet down a ravine. I broke my leg. I was lost, hurt and cold. Then they found me hours later. My mother yelled at me while she hugged me.”
“Just how many adventures have you’ve had?” I laughed.
That earned me a raised brow.
“I’ve heard stories.”
“Embarrassing stories, I bet.”
“Some were embarrassing. Some were endearing. And the rest I want to hear from you.”
Evan stayed quiet, definitely not the same girl who flirted with me that first day.
“Talk to me,” I demanded.
She took a deep breathe before saying anything.
“I want… I want to go out with you.”
“You mean like a date?”
“Yeah. But before you say no, I think I should tell my parents.”
“About us.”
I should have talked to them before this thing between us got out of control.
“Only if I can be there.”
She smiled.

We didn’t talk to Bette and Tina that night. I needed to refuel my energy with food and sleep. After our decision, I walked back over to my place and ran into Shane who was coming up the drive.

The reaction of Tina, Bette and the attitude of Serena is perfect with their characters. Good chapter.
wow..Serena did right that prove how much she care about Evan cuz face Bette like this is really have no fear to death..lol..now is time for Evan do soemthing and fight for what she think is right for them…and it seems Tina is more open to listen and help them..ok cant wait for more thanks :o)
Love rating gets to me ,at least tell them why. Bette is thinking of a 18 yr old and a 27 yr old Not love thanks Serene at least tryed to talk to them. Evan is really pushing Serena. thanks

No, this is a 5 without a doubt…obviously we still have some leftover resentment…Just don’t read it then!!!!!!! Anyway, great chapter, I thought that you dealt very well with the age/attraction thing!!! Bette, typical…tina, typical…..now let’s see where it ends up…There is so much attraction behind these 2 that something is going to give….great story, LOVE IT….*****

Well, at least there weren’t sharp objects around.
Serena was smart to anticipate that this wouldn’t go well. And even smarter to talk to Bette and Tina without Evan present, it would have been too easy to draw Evan in as a shield for Serena and a weapon for Bette.
I’m curious though…Tina was more calm that I suspected she would be – has she perhaps picked up on Evan’s attraction and just never brought it up hoping that it would eventually just fizzle out?
Tough topic and so well told.
Can’t wait to see how Evan reacts to her mothers. Bette has every right to be upset, she is only looking out for her daughter. I was suprised Tina was not as upset with this. Please post soon. Excellent story.

love this chapter. its great Serena confronted B&T and i think everything will be ok once Evan explains her feelings.
