Coming for You – (Chapter: Do You Remember?)

Ashley: What a long day at the studio.

I sigh, plopping down on the couch to find a photo album with a bow on it on the coffee table.

Ashley: Ah she finally finished it.

I pick up the large album and lay it in my lap. There was a little note scribbled on the inside in Spencer’s hand writing that read:

For my love, may all our memories be great ones.

    -S

On the first page, I run my hand over the picture of me and Spencer on the night of our engagement. Spencer was planting a big one on my lips while I held out my hand with the ring on it to the camera. We looked so happy and I just smiled at the memory.

Flipping the page, I come across pictures from graduation day. There Spencer stood all proud with her UB diploma, while I had the goofiest look on my face, tongue sticking out and everything. My mom loved that one. And that was sarcasm if you couldn’t already tell.

On the page next to it was a photo of the four of us, Aiden, Spencer, Kristen and I all in our caps and gowns with our arms tightly around one another. I honestly thought graduation day was going to be one of the proudest moments in my life, but little did I know at the time there would be much more to come.

The next page holds memories of a big day. There was Spencer and I standing by our first house, paid in full by my inheritance of course. I mean we were just fresh out of college. Spencer was sitting on the steps of the wraparound porch, while I sat behind her with my arms wrapped around her waist and my head in the crook of her neck.

The words “let’s get down to business” are at the top of the next page. Just below it is a picture of me sitting at my desk at the studio, trying to look all business-like. I grin from ear to ear knowing the type of “business” I did with Spencer multiple times on that desk.

I guess now would be the time to fill you in on my occupation. The night of the battle of the bands, I met a man named Ethan Marks. Well it turned out Ethan worked for a recording studio and wanted to make a record deal with me. I of course jumped at the opportunity and made an album. It was a pretty big hit and I really reached the top of the charts, but the fame became too much for me and really had a huge hold on my life. So here I am now, years down the road, the owner of Davies Recording Company and to say I’ve been successful would be an understatement.
