Lately I’ve been spending more time with Madison and less time with Spencer, because she’s been spending more time with Aiden. I miss her so much and I just want to spend time with her more often, but a lot of her time goes to him and there’s nothing I can do about that. I don’t want her to end up resenting me for getting in the way of her living her life. I got a text from Jay the other day saying “I saw Spence with that Aiden guy just now, I said hi to him but he just ignored me, he’s a dick. Are they together now?” And so then I had to fill Jay in on the situation, which would be that yes they are together now.

As little time I get to spend with Spencer, I do see her on occasion, and today is one of those occasions.

“Listen Spence, I really can’t do this anymore.”

“Ash please, don’t give up on this yet.”

“I can’t, I don’t have it in me to carry on.”

“You do, I know you do.”

“No Spencer, really, I cannot watch ‘Mulan’. I mean ‘Tarzan’ and ‘Monsters, Inc.’ I could watch because, I’m not gonna lie to you, I love them. But ‘Mulan’ is the last straw.”

“Okay then Ash, let’s just go see if my mum has finished cooking yet.” She says as she gets up off the bed and takes my hand to help me up too. We get to the kitchen and see Paula setting three plates of food down on the table.

“Hi girls. Hungry?” Paula asks.

“Hey P, yeah I’m starved.” I am, I really haven’t been able to eat properly for the past few weeks. We all begin eating and start talking and laughing about the most random things.

“So Ashley, have you met this boyfriend of Spencer’s?” Paula asks as she looks at me from across the table. I can hardly bring myself to look up from my plate as I push some broccoli around it.

“Umm yeah, kinda. I take it you have?” I say as Spencer and I both keep our heads down.

“Yeah. It’s a first for Spencer to bring a boy home, and I have to say I don’t like the effect it’s having on her.” Spencer and I both snap our heads up at this.
