    Chapter Six: What If No One’s Watching?

    Ashley smoothed some lip gloss… clear with a hint of pink… over her lips, her eyes staring at her reflection in small mirror glued to her visor. She looked good… there was no denying that, not that she ever would. Her auburn curls were cascading down to her shoulders, shining in the moonlight. Her makeup was immaculate with black lining her eyes, and striking shadow. She hadn’t spent so much time painting on her face in her entire life, which was an achievement since Ashley wasn’t really known for her modesty. She glanced down at her outfit, hoping it was sexy without being too trampy. She was wearing her father’s tour vest, pined in the front because there was certainly nothing underneath it. Hopefully, it would give her luck. A short mini skirt covered her hips, but stopped mid thigh.

    Kyla sighed from next to her, pushing some hair back out of her face. She had been planning on going to the party anyway, but never dreamed of inviting Ashley. So, imagine her surprise when her sister barged into her room, demanding that they go to Sean and Chelsea’s party. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to hang out with her sister… because she did. Since Ashley’s return, they spent a lot of time together. It actually felt like she had a sister finally. Kyla had never felt more closer to Ashley, or their father. But, she also knew Spencer would be at the party. And that… was terrifying. She’d partied with Spencer a little over the summer. Ashley probably wasn’t ready to see the new Carlin in action, and Kyla was immensely worried about what her reaction would be.

    Ashley had tried hitting Kyla up for information about Spencer lately. She always declined to tell her anything. She opted for pretending that her and Spencer hadn’t interacted much. But, it was lie. She just didn’t want to get in the middle of anything. Mostly because drama was sure to follow. Especially if Ashley knew everything.

    “Are you sure you want to do this? We could have a movie night or something. Fill up on buttery popcorn and way too much candy,” the younger sister suggested.

    1. I think Spencer has been up to no good this summer. There’s really no trace of the innocent Spencer we all used to know is there? I don’t know what all Spencer has been up to during the summer but I do know that Ashley will flip her lid when she finds out. I love this story! Once again, where are Paula and Arthur?

    2. She was conflicted between wanting to grab Spencer and throw her into a bedroom, and wanting to grab Spencer and put some damn clothes on her. – I love that line! There’s a thin line between love and hate and that is where we find Spencer, she yearns for her lover and in the same breath she desires to make her suffer as she does. Quite a conundrum. You write it so well. Side note: Ashley! how could you possibly not know that someone was sucking on your neck? Duh! Looking forward to the next chapter.

    3. i know i already reviewed this but please update soon i’ve been looking all the time for the next post really want to find out what goes down at this party and if ash can get our beloved spencer back…
