    Young Love: Chapter Twenty

“Thanks Shane, I really appreciate this. I couldn’t get a hold of Alice, and I didn’t want to bother my parents.” Shane smiled at her friend and nodded.

“Dana—it’s okay. It’s not a problem. That’s what friends are for.” She grabbed her jumper cables from the trunk of her car and walked to the front of the cars. Howie grabbed the ends of the cable and put it on Dana’s battery. Shane put her ends on her battery, and Dana sat behind her steering wheel.

    “Ready?”

“Yeah, go ahead,” Shane took a step back, and Dana turned her key. Her car started up immediately, and she shrieked.

“Yes!” Shane smiled as she took the cables off her car and off of Dana’s. Dana closed her door, and Howie got back into the car. Shane walked over to her friend, and Dana rolled down her window. “Thanks Shane again.”

“No problem, now go home.” She tapped the top of her car, and Dana pulled away. Carmen waved as she and Howie drove by. Shane walked over to her girlfriend and wrapped her arm around her.

“So what are we going to do now?” Carmen looked at Shane.

“Well—I don’t know.” She smiled and kissed Carmen softly.

Bette got up from the couch as Kit continued to watch TV. She walked over to the door and answered it.

“Tina,” Bette looked back and then looked at Tina. “Hi.”

    “Hi.”

    “What are you doing here?”

“I wanted to talk to you about Helena.”

    “Why?”

    “Because she attacked me.”

“What do you mean she attacked you?” Bette crossed her arms.

“She came to me before class today, and she pushed me against the locker. She told me to leave you alone.”

“I don’t believe that.” Bette chuckled softly.

“Well I know what she did. She attacked me, and she told me to stay away from you.” Tina began to raise her voice.

    “Calm down.”

“I’m not going to calm down. She pushed me, and I wanted you to know that Helena is a violent bitch.”

“Tina I really think you should leave.” Bette began to close her door. “I really don’t think we should be friends.” She closed the door, and Tina scuffed. She stomped away and got to her car.

    1. Hey there Aki, was happy to read your new chapter, and dang that Tina is such a witch,,,I knew she was up to something and don’t like it at all. The one who should also apologize is bette, but anyway, love Al and DAne theyare so cute.

    2. Tina’s going crazy over this. She must want B so bad, I’m glad Helena is still there for Bette and although Alice almost always can’t keep her mouth shut, B was totally out of line. And yeah, D and A are absolutely awesome! PPS

    3. What was T complaining about? She was the one who “pushed past Helena”. What a liar! I hope B could see through T and would not ruin her relationship with H. Thank god for Shane, being a good friend she was, came and rescued D & Howie. With D being ungrounded, I hope A & D would have some fun soon. Thanks for the update. pps.

    4. HEllo ACB, Great to have you continuing this wonderful writing. I loved this story and now can’t wait to see where you take it. Tina is so frustrated at her own behavior but I am sure that Bette is able to cope with it all. Typical of Alice to just arrive and interfer wsith their lives. Sweet to see Angelica all curled up and loving her nap time. Genius. Thank you so much, Your Loyal Fan.

    5. Hiya ACB, Am still loving this tricky tale. Amazing how everything fell apart once Tina’s little comments had sunk in. And Tina wasn’t even there to throw up this mcuh turmoil. Helena’s heavy handed dealing with TIna was ill-advised but Tina really knows where she stands now. Bette needs to listen first and then make her move. Good to see that this strom in a teacup was petering out. More please of this great story. Many thankds from Your Loyal Fan.
