Los Angeles
The gang was sitting at The Planet, usual table. The chat between them goes as usual teasing Alice. It was an ordinary day until Kit asked about Bette.
"Did anyone talked to Bette this week? I called her, actually more than once but I didn’ t talk to her"
"I’ ve tried too but I failed" Alice said.
"Me too" it was Shane who talked. It was too early for her to make her mind work and say something with more words. She had her head at Carmen’ s shoulder and she was half asleep. Carmen shook her head ‘no’.
Dana and Lara shared a look and Lara nodded to her love.
"Shane, do you want to wake up?" Dana said with a mischievous smile in her face.
"Um… no… not really" she replied.
"Well… I’ m so sorry buddy but you will. Bette’ s coming… today!" Dana shoot her friends.
Shane stood straight with her eyes and jaw wide open. Kit and Carmen was in shock and stared at Dana when Alice, for maybe the first time in her life, was speechless.
"You ‘ve got to be kidding me!" Kit recovered first.
"No Kit, I’ m not. Bette wanted to surprise you. I talked to her last night."
A million of questions remained without an answer as the three of them started talking together for five minutes looking at Dana.
"Guys, shut up! I can’ t tell you details. She is coming today and we can see her tonight."
"Oh come on Dane! You must know something else!" Alice pleaded.
"Well I can tell you one more thing but no questions about it! I mean it!"
They just nodded.
"She is not coming alone!" Dana said and she burst out laughing when they started their questions again all together.
"Sorry guys. We can’ t help you"
Hours later at LAX
The plane was grounded as soft as posible but Bette didn’ t noticed. She was lost in her thoughs. Her memories were hunting her once again. All these memories that were hurting her for four years were back. Home, is this really my home? she thought but then a voice in her mind reminded her of something: ”Home is where your heart belongs". She smiled. Then definately this is my home!
