You Have Got to be Kidding Me Ch. 23

    Tina got up abruptly.

Tina: I don’t need protection from the truth. Everything that I thought I knew has been a lie and you hid behind your self-righteousness pretending to be something that you’re not and I HATE YOU!

Tina ran out of the room.

Marie: Well that went better than expected.

Joanna: Yeah I went over this scene a million times in my head and not one time were we left alive.

Bette: How can you joke about this? YOUR daughter (Bette pointing at them both) is hurting and confused and all you can do is make jokes.

Bette: Tina came here to tell you that she found happiness and you took that away from her.

Joanna: DON’T you dare act so self-righteous Bette. Let us not forget why Tina is even in the condition she is in. You knew she was a Pluratan and not once did you tell her.

    Bette stumbled over her words.

Bette: Th.. That’s not true. I suspected but I had no way of knowing for sure. Tina is very suppressed. She has no idea of her identity. It was only when I became pregnant that I felt it had to be true which is why I wanted to come with Tina to meet you.

Bette quickly recovered: Not that I would not have came to meet you otherwise.

Joanna: Yea I bet you were just dying to tell her Mormon parents how you and Tina are lovers and planning to have a baby and marry.

Marie: Joanna give Bette a break. It’s not her fault that our daughter hates us.

Joanna knew her wife was speaking the truth and she hated it. She had rather blamed Bette. Tina would have never known any different if it was not for one Bette Porter. She wanted to argue that very point but thought differently when her wife gave her that knowing look. She dropped her train of thought and left the room stating that she was going to get coffee.

Bette soon left the room to check on Tina. Bette intentionally did not go after Tina initially because she knew that Tina needed some time to cool off.
