with no limits – chapter 14: blocks and technical fouls, rebounds and free throws part 2
“Nothing… I just missed you so much… When you didn’t come here earlier, I…” Tina didn’t finish her sentence.
“Oh… I’m sorry I couldn’t call you… I was held up. There was this internal problem in the Artists’ Circle Club and we had to conduct an emergency meeting so… When I dialed your number, you weren’t answering and I figured you were here so I came.” Bette explained and she had that worried look on her face that made Tina nauseous.
“But you said you were tutoring Nicole…”
“I haven’t seen Nicole since our last tutoring session, Tee… We had discussed to meet today but I had to make sure everything was all right with the Arts group first… And we never ran into each other.”
Tina staggered back, luckily, Shane was quick to her feet and was there to support her. Suddenly, she was falling apart, literally, and every bone and muscle in her body weren’t cooperating with her. Tina fought the tears welling in her eyes. The bitter entanglement had her by the neck and she could lose her ability to breathe.
“Tina, baby, are you okay?” Bette rushed to Tina’s side. “Come on… I’m gonna take you home… Okay?”
Fifteen minutes after Tina almost collapsed, Bette had insisted to bring her back home to rest. Not one question was answered as to why Tina felt sick unexpectedly. Alice, Carmen and Papi were yet to arrive.
“Maybe that’s why she was silent, you guys…” Jenny spoke up.
“Yeah… Good thing she was here with us and not out there someplace without Bette.” Tipping the beer bottle for a drink, Shane raised her wrist to know what time it was again. She played around with her phone in her free hand for a bit before deciding to put it in her pocket. “Shit.”
Finally, Alice had arrived… with Tasha.
“Hey, Al.” Shane greeted like they didn’t have an awful argument early this morning. If it was just for show, she didn’t know. “Tasha.” She nodded her head and Tasha acknowledged her.
“You guys are so freaking boring. What are you all doing sitting around there when you can dance to the tunes?” Alice was ready to strut her stuff on the dance floor but when she saw Dana with Lara, being really close with each other, her smile faded.

Thanks for the update. I have to admit that I only read the Sharmen parts but I like them a lot. Not the one where Carmen cheats on Shane, but I’m looking forward to see what happens next.
can’t wait to read the next installment! love you work! pps!
i love the sharmen part, and actually surprised that carmen cheated on shane, since she’s obvious not into papi and papi should knew that. PPS!!**I love the song “in the sun”, and yeah, everytime i hear this i feel sad :(
read this all tonight, I gotta say you got me hooked. I planned on turning in early tonight, might a couple of hours has passed and it’s almost two am in here. I’m disappointed that Dana’s gone too. I’m loving the Lara-Dana-Alice-Tasha stuff. The Tina and Bette part is a bit sad, over all, I like it. I’m gonna have to check in more in here to see your next post. Thumbs up to you! thanks for posting these.:)
