    New York…part 3. The insemination.

    “Oh my gosh Bette. Don’t place the blame on me for being loud. You haven’t really made any attempts to squash your verbal acknowledgment of what you’ve enjoyed. Is Maggie someone that you knew before?”

    “No, when I called to try to get things arranged, she and I were connected and talked. I explained to her about wanting things perfect for the insemination and it turns out that she and her partner have a child by AI and she took it as her personal mission to make everything perfect. I know that she did more that her job duties and I’ve offered her compensation for her efforts and all that she asks is that she meet the woman who benefits from all this. I was hoping maybe we could have lunch with her before we leave.”

    “I would like that. She has made everything so wonderful. Let’s take a shower and eat and maybe move on to round two if you’re not too tired.”

    “Come on Kennard. Let’s get in the shower. It’ll be a cold day in hell when I’m too tired to make love with my fiancée.”

    We made our way to the shower where we once again made love to one another. After finally washing off, we put on robes and went into the living room where a beautiful meal was set up with candles accenting it and the curtains opened to see the skyline. It was wonderful.

    The foods that Bette had chosen were simple yet delicious. In our robes admiring the wonderful view of the city and of each other, we dined on a wonderful chicken and wine with cheese, served over wild rice, strawberry avocado salad, raspberry white chocolate mousse and a lovely white zinfandel. Also on the tray for later were strawberries dipped in chocolate and pink champagne. It was all so well thought out and so amazing. It was light enough not to interfere with the passion that we both were feeling yet enough to replenish our energies for an intensive and long night of making love. As usual, she had everything perfect.

    As insecure as I was about Tina’s reaction to my planning the insemination without insight from her, her reassurances and excitement quelled all my insecurities. She was genuinely happy that we were going to have the opportunity to try for a baby. Maggie had set the mood wonderfully and my appreciation of her and her efforts were not going to be forgotten. She too would be receiving flowers in addition to hopefully joining Tina and me for lunch before we left.

    5. I have followed this story from the beginning. I have laughed and cried, and when I thought that Bette couldn’t be anymore romantic, you write this chapter. You have made me believe in love and second chances. For me, Window of Opportunity, is by far the best story that I have read. Please don’t stop!!!!PPS

To have someone love you that much, that deeply, and to go to those lengths t show that love is absolutely breathtaking.     7. “Skyrockets in flight, tun-tun-tun, Afternoon delight, A-a-afternoon delight!” LOL! I think we grew up in the same decade, NAG. Who wouldn’t fall in love deeper with this super romantic Bette who would pluck stars and pull down the moon from the heavens if it would make her Tina happy? “If my last breath on earth is used to put a smile on your face then my life will have been worth it.” Awww, too sweet. But I can’t blame her, Tina’s such a great catch. Loved the return of the album and the letters. Tina’s letters evoke sincerity and her deep love for Bette. She really shouldn’t worry on how she’d write her vows because she clearly knows how to speak from her heart. Tina’s painful memory of her self-insemination was touching. “Once again, quiet Bette Porter could have woken the dead.” LOL! Tina, not to be outdone, “came so hard that I think my screams put hers to shame.” LOL! I hope they succeeded but if not there’s no doubt they had a screaming great time trying over and over again. Thank you, thank you, NAG! Hope you and little G are enjoying the summer! :>

    9. Wow, Bette and Tina were so romantic. The first time they did an insemination at home was amazing, But this one was even better. Bette did not hold anything back for her and her family. This was so special, how can Tina not be pregnant?

    17. Incredible chapter….I feel like a voyeur in the best possible way….Your insight to Tina’s feelings surrounding Angelica’s insemination & why she did it that way was great. Her thinking that Bette’s needs shouldn’t have superseded hers is accurate, perhaps in that time that they were both ignoring each others needs it was a late attempt to rectify/acknowledge that – what they needed to be doing was talking and including each other on what they were thinking & feeling….SO glad they’re doing that now!!!
