Window of Opportunity ch. 66
Thank you for taking that leap of faith. Thank you for not putting me out for leaving wet towels on the floor and not putting the top on the toothpaste. Living with someone was an adjustment but one that was well worth it.
I love you and can’t wait to have a home with you and Angie. The two of you are the most important people in my life and for us to share our home together will be another of my dreams coming true.
I love you,
Bette
We reminisced about us first living together and how difficult it was for both us but as time passed, it became so right. We talked about the transition when Tina and Angie moved back in permanently and how Tina had a hard time knowing that Jodi had spent such a large amount of time there. She first realized it when she was in the kitchen and so many things had been moved. Knowing how little I used the kitchen, she knew that it was because of Jodi and that was uncomfortable. When I asked why she hadn’t mentioned it to me she told me that nothing could be done to change it and she just moved the items back to where she felt they made more sense. We talked about whether anything else about the house made her uncomfortable because I was willing to bulldoze it and start over if that’s what she wanted. She laughed at my suggestion and told me no, that wasn’t necessary. She was happy being back and that happiness was because of us. Whether Jodi had been there a lot was of no relevance to her because it was never Jodi’s house. In all the time we were apart, I had kept it so much our house that it was easier for her to slip back in. She was right. Jodi had wanted to make changes but I had always resisted. Most of the changes she wanted were to items that Tina had picked out and I didn’t want those things disturbed. I never stopped thinking of it as our home.
After we had been lying for awhile, I got up and got the box that was sitting beside the canister on the nightstand. It was wrapped with paper that I had made. The wrapping paper was of differing pictures of Angie and I knew regardless of the gift, she would love the paper.

this chapter took my breath away. so romantic, sweet, tender…WOW…:)PWYHT (post when u have time)
“wow” is right – I feel as though I’ve just gone a few rounds :-)! Beautiful…wow…
Can I get a round or two of that? That was awesome! PPS:)
Our Bette is so romantic, can she get any sweeter? Any more wonderful.
I have followed this story from the beginning. I have laughed and cried, and when I thought that Bette couldn’t be anymore romantic, you write this chapter. You have made me believe in love and second chances. For me, Window of Opportunity, is by far the best story that I have read. Please don’t stop!!!!PPS
Wow and Awesome don’t even begin to describe what this chapter has made me feel. To have someone love you that much, that deeply, and to go to those lengths t show that love is absolutely breathtaking. Happy that Baby G is sleeping so much better and that makes you feel better as well. Thanks for sharing. Post when you can.
“Skyrockets in flight, tun-tun-tun, Afternoon delight, A-a-afternoon delight!” LOL! I think we grew up in the same decade, NAG. Who wouldn’t fall in love deeper with this super romantic Bette who would pluck stars and pull down the moon from the heavens if it would make her Tina happy? “If my last breath on earth is used to put a smile on your face then my life will have been worth it.” Awww, too sweet. But I can’t blame her, Tina’s such a great catch. Loved the return of the album and the letters. Tina’s letters evoke sincerity and her deep love for Bette. She really shouldn’t worry on how she’d write her vows because she clearly knows how to speak from her heart. Tina’s painful memory of her self-insemination was touching. “Once again, quiet Bette Porter could have woken the dead.” LOL! Tina, not to be outdone, “came so hard that I think my screams put hers to shame.” LOL! I hope they succeeded but if not there’s no doubt they had a screaming great time trying over and over again. Thank you, thank you, NAG! Hope you and little G are enjoying the summer! :>
wow… i read this at work last night… and i have a feeling a baby porter is on the way… love it…
Wow, Bette and Tina were so romantic. The first time they did an insemination at home was amazing, But this one was even better. Bette did not hold anything back for her and her family. This was so special, how can Tina not be pregnant?
I know I keep saying it every chapter, but once again this keeps getting better and better L. So all those nice things everyone else said and I think I have to see a MD as maybe you made me and the other readers pragnet too. Thank you, Md
Amazing (I just don’t know what to say anymore)…Ummm…tho…*Afternoon Delight* cracked me up…The Starland Vocal Band…I met Jon Carroll (a band member) at a party in Washington, D.C. in the 80’s! Something tells me Tina has a Baby G on the way! Thanks, nagster!
Bette is such a romantic and that insemination hopefully takes away bad memories for both. Loving this story. Hugs to Baby G from Aunty Rau. PPS.
wow….that was just wow…:)
What a great chapter – you as well as the two lovers have come so far since the beginning of this and it never seizes to amaze me have you write such solid chunks of romance and emotional drama. Awesome!PPS
GRET chapter, I hope that this will help fade away the bad memories of the previous insemination; although having Angie should also help. The end OES justify the means. Shout out to the “G” man. PPS :o).
NAG, this whole chapter was so beautiful and romantic. I am in total awe of your ability to write like this. I hope the insemination worked as it will form one of their most wonderful life memories. I can’t wait until your next installment…I LOVE this story and this author!
Incredible chapter….I feel like a voyeur in the best possible way….Your insight to Tina’s feelings surrounding Angelica’s insemination & why she did it that way was great. Her thinking that Bette’s needs shouldn’t have superseded hers is accurate, perhaps in that time that they were both ignoring each others needs it was a late attempt to rectify/acknowledge that – what they needed to be doing was talking and including each other on what they were thinking & feeling….SO glad they’re doing that now!!!
awwwwww….so sweet and romantic…hope all works out and Tina gets pregnant 1st try
